the cd was in perfect conditions
i personally love yelle music and i believe that this is a very good album. different from the previous one, more mature, more "chilled" i'd say - as far as concerns the melody, the sound of the songs, still, very nice

5.0 out of 5 stars The best album, the best electronic group ever. 28 April 2011

Listen. I saw Yelle in Atlanta just a few days ago, and they absolutely BLEW MY MIND. I enjoyed the album before, but seeing them actually made the album BETTER. I've never experienced a group that does that before. They will never get radio play in America, due to stuffy corporate radio and the fact that they sing in French - but they are one of the best kept secrets in pop.

I caught on to Yelle through Pandora, and my life hasn't been the same since. I then went retro and caught up with "Pop Up", eagerly anticipating the release of "Safari Disco Club". I love both of them, but Safari Disco Club just has some extra dimensions that are really complex and incredible. It has songs ranging from having an 80's type synthesizer-vibe to a straight up you just want to JUMP kind of energy.

I was so fortunate to see them in a small venue. I get the feeling this won't be possible the next time they are in the US, because with the way they are blowing the roof off of clubs across America, they're going to spread like wildfire.

This album is great. If you like electronica, pop, energy, melody, awesome... you will not regret this album. I'm a native English speaker with little background in French, but it doesn't matter. This music spans languages and continents, and I would buy this album again, a million times. I have completely fallen in love with Yelle!

4.0 out of 5 stars A solid followup to YELLE 11 Jun. 2011
By logipi - Published on Amazon.com

Safari Disco Club is not quite as electro pop tech orientated as the previous album YELLE. It lacks some of the energy driven approach of the first record overall. By no means is it a slow album but it is more relaxed and despite some prominent beats it feels more like music for a smooth evening with its mix of up tempo backing with slower almost airy vocals. It is still totally danceable and occasionally has elements of trance. If YELLE was for a sunny day Safari Disco Club would be for the last kick of the evening before you go to a late night cafe. It could be called more mature with hesitation as to not infer YELLE was inmature. Safari Disco Club is slightly in another vein versus YELLE but is still a great album and has enough of the previous release to bring the listener right into the new.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Pop Up! 1 April 2011

This is the second--and best--Yelle album. While I was a die-hard fan of Yelle when the only album out there was Pop Up, it's easy to say that this album is the best. Much deeper, more daaaancing!!! I love it. It's currently the number 1 electronic genre album on iTunes U.S.A. and Canada. You should buy this.
