The game basically tries to give you an adventure, staying true to what One Piece is about. The combat is kind of a 3D Brawler crossed with a fighter. You control 9 members of the strawhats through various levels, and each one has an interesting and varied moveset. There are some RPG elements involved too; your characters level up and you obtain 'words' throughout the game, which you use to power up your stats ala party equipment. There's also a decent amount of side content. You can fish and catch creatures with your net, get materials to craft items and expand the town you find yourself in at the start. I haven't played very much yet, but I feel like I'll get a lot of hours out of the game.
As far as negatives go, the biggest problem is the camera. It's often quite close to you, and it's slightly awkward to control. Thankfully this isn't a problem in battle as it zooms out when fighting, but in other situations, you might wish you could have it a little further away from the player. If you're like me, you might also find that the characters move a little too slow for your preferences, but like the camera, this is just my opinion, and it's easy enough to look past it.
One Piece Unlimited World Red is a great game that you'll probably log quite a few hours in. Definitely worth buying.
