Highly recommend it.
Sad to say, after 6 weeks, one of the charging ports has failed. Now waiting for the company to respond. Will update with their reply.
Shame really, as I thought this was a good bit of kit.
Well it went faulty, but 10/10 for customer service, after contacting the company via Amazon, unit was replaced and a new one in my hands in 3 days. Fantastic service, shame more company's are not as good as Anker.
Hope this unit proves more reliable. Great product If it lasts. But fantastic customer service. Well done Anker.
Update, now been using this for 6 months since it was replaced, and it runs flawlessly. I can charge iPad and 2 phones at the same time. Great for travelling to.
I use the Anker charger in my living room, where most of our devices live. It’s excellent – it’s high-current ports can provide as much power as all devices can use (but never too much), charging them in the shortest possible time.
It frees up power outlets – previously I had a number of single USB chargers plugged in.
It’s more electrically efficient to have 5 ports on one charger then 5 individual chargers.
It saves arguments over who gets to charge their phone as there are always enough free ports!
Anker’s customer support is excellent – I had an Anker USB cable fail recently. I emailed them and they processed a refund inside 12 hours.
I highly recommend this product without any reservations.
Don't know why I was expecting a bigger package, but just thought that something supposed to have more power than the normal USB chargers would be bigger!
On removing from the packaging, I was impressed by the apparent build quality, this seems to be well put together.
I really like the ability to charge multiple devices at once, this was one of the main factors in picking this. I haven't had a full set of items on charging with it yet, but it seems to put out enough power to charge an iPad Air, a Nokia 820 and a Kindle fire HD all at once.
Another reason I picked this device, is it's stated ability to take 120v 60hz power, making it usable in North America ( with a different plug of course) this will prove invaluable for me when I move to Canada later this year.
It is a real shame as it was a great piece of equipment when it worked as space and power sockets are always in short supply in a motorhome (or caravan). If the ports still worked it would get 5 stars
I used to keep this by the bedside, but since upgrading to the 60W model I now keep this one in the living room, with a selection of Ankers reliable cables. So most things can be charged within easy reach. PS4 controllers, my phone, my wifes phone, wireless headphones, battery packs... It is very handy indeed.
Also useful to unplug and take on holiday. As many things these days charge on USB power, it really is a no brainer to have one of these packed.
I've used all five ports together - 2 iPads, a Kindle, Galaxy S3 and Nexus 5, and it charged them all fast; no overheating or whining. Build quality is pretty good too; it's solid yet small & lightweight.
You can save a lot of space and weight in your luggage by getting rid of all the individual chargers and taking just this thing. Don't forget the cables, of course!
