A memory from my youth, bought on a whim after seeing it on one of those 'hits from yesteryear' programmes on TV - the kind of song you can belt out on your own in the car just for fun (which I do!). It's a love or hate kind of a song, but it brings back memories!

There appears to be three versions of this song (discounting mixes with other artists etc.). There is the annoying short 4+ minute version they always play on the radio. There is the version I grew up with, which is 5+ minutes. Then there is this 6+ minute version, which I had not heard before.

This long version is much better than the short radio version, but - perhaps because I grew up with it - I still prefer the 5+ minute version. Unfortunately, you don't appear to be able to get this anywhere. The only place I have it is on an original vinyl copy of 'Now That's What I Call Music One'.

Oh dear, age showing again. But this is great for bellowing in the car, but best of all to be watched for that weird and wonderful video which came out with this, which requires a degree in semiotics. Sadly no video with an mp3 (I have it on disc anyway) but still a blockbusting treat.

Bought this because I love the song and wanted it on my MP3 player without having to buy the whole album. 80p for a track may be a little pricey but as a one-off it's perfect. Easy to download too.

One of the best performances from Bonnie Tyler, her sultry husking voice fits this song perfectly. This song is an all time classic.
