Having performed live to over 1.2m people, the UK’s hardest working comedian Jimmy Carr, is back with his brand new stand-up DVD.
Star of hit TV shows 8 Out of 10 Cats and 10 O’clock Live, Jimmy is well known for his slick one liners and non-stop gags, but his acerbic wit and fast-paced comedy style are at their brilliant best when he has the stage to himself.
Packed with over 100 minutes of brand new material, including too-rude-for-TV jokes, hilarious heckling, and even better put-downs, Jimmy pushes the boundaries of comedy and delivers a spectacular show.

This one however did not have many great moments.
As said in another review, some of the material is repetitive, some of it is just not funny.
The whole dragged out accent sequence was quite boring, as was the 'interview' on stage, (however that was very funny when done in a past DVD with the Irish lady).
The 'come back' joke was brilliant though.
One thing I noticed about this DVD was Jimmy explained the jokes on occasion, the subtle jokes that some may get and others not were some of his greatest moments, the dryness of the delivery.
To then continue just to clarify for those who may not have got it, made the joke less funny.
I was disappointed as I was looking forward to this release for a while.
For the first time ever I noticed several gags have already been used before, and I personally feel there is an over reliance on the visual cartoons that we have seen Jimmy make increasing use of on the overhead projection screens. They even use the autocue as a warm up act....AGAIN! It's just beginning to feel a bit tired and there weren't any great stand out moments for me. Perhaps because this is his 7th DVD then maybe I am simply getting used to his style of delivery and his deadpan one liners, but it just feels a bit lacking.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't a bad DVD; just not as good as some of his previous ones. There is enjoyment to be had here and an average Jimmy Carr DVD is better than most tripe other comics churn out at Christmas, but some of his earlier stuff felt more edgy and daring.
You'll be able to guess from my 5-star review that this is a good DVD.
I saw him live in Norwich, my home...city.
I also saw him last year, and have watched all of his previous DVD's (which I now own, as well), so I know what to expect somewhat.
I did recognise a few jokes that he'd used before, but when he's telling how every many in the night, that's acceptable. This might not be the case with the DVD however.
I have a large list of comedians who I like, and although Jimmy Carr in not my absolute favourite, he is way up there.
My friend who I went with this year loves him even more than me (Oh God, it sounds like I'm hoping he's going to see this review and invite us into bed with him. Well, he is famous... kidding).
So, typically, the jokes are very edgy (though nobody seems to take offence, because it's part of the act) and if you think you know him from 8 out of 10 cats as 'that one with the amazing laugh', you need to see him live on his own. He has no fear, and can handle heckles better than anyone I've ever seen.
His posh voice makes it all the more funny when he says the C word which, Yes kids, he does.
All in all, a great night with fast-paced jokes.
If you like his other DVDs, you'll like this one too.
I'll be buying at some point :)
His DVD's alone will fill my bloomin' shelf if he keeps bringing them out!
He is still pushing boundaries.
There are three 'Extras' clips on this DVD; Both contain clips of old material from the earlier Montreal "Just For Laughs" comedy festivals.
So you'd expect them to be old as the clips are old.
This concert is new and so's the material.
I ordered it on the off-chance other reviews might be mistaken.
Happily, I have found that to be the case.
Unless Franky Boyle and Peter Kay are writing them now to get folk to buy their DVD's instead(?).
Basically, if you like Jimmy Carr and share his sense of humour you'll enjoy this DVD.
I do and did.
Best British comic at the moment and could become one of the world's 'great' comics.
Cant wait for next years show!

Have dealt with this vendor before, and they have never disappointed me.....Published 16 months ago by Mr. G. Vranjkovic
Some funny bits, but also some lazy impressions and overly cruel one-liners.
Worth a watch but Jimmy's later work is far better.
Offensive but very, very funny. Big fan of Jimmy Carr.
Don't watch if you're easily offended.
