They're the most volatile, dramatic, emotional and downright sassy family ever seen on a soap, and they've been captured in specially shot footage and exclusive never-broadcast material. They've always been trouble and now they are in trouble... When three generations of Slater women - Kat, Little Mo, Lynn, Zoe and Nan - hit the town, it could only really end with a night in the police cell. But straight out of School Disco, the fiery Slater girls- in school uniform - are far too hot for the local constabulary to handle. When not flirting with the night sergeant, they give the inside story on the Slater highs and lows; the passion, the heartbreak, the fights and laughs of a family that doesn't know the meaning of 'the quiet life.'

This VHS brings you inside the world of Walford.
It fetaures many classic moments such as Grant hearing the tape from Phil and Sharon, Phil torching the vic and of cource Den handing Angie divorce papers for a Christmas present!
Eatenders has not been very good in recent years (except for Dens return and Alfie Moon) so buy this and be reminded of the glory years.
Although I am not a fan of 'EastEnders', I do think that the Slater women were portrayed by fine actresses, especially Jessie Wallace as Kat, and Gary Oldman's sister Laila Morse as the Nana 'Big' Mo. These are interesting characters, and because of this, although it would help, I don't really think that you have to be an 'EastEnders' viewer in order to enjoy 'Slaters in Detention', a straight-to-DVD special from 2003, which provides plenty of comedy.
Although essentially a clip show, there is lots of specially made footage which creates a brand new, if somewhat thin storyline. After a wild night on the town, dressed as school girls, Big Mo, Kat, Zoe, Lynn and Little Mo are arrested, and spend a night in a police cell. The girls begin acting up with the officers, and it isn't long before these women, all of whom couldn't be more different (despite their shared ability to be 'ballsy'), begin to reminiscence about the highs and lows in which they have experienced in their lives, which is where the archive clips are slotted in.
Fans of the Slaters will really enjoy this light-hearted trip back in time, and I laughed a lot, both at the 'EastEnders' clips, but especially the new footage. The DVD contains interviews with all the actresses, speaking about their characters who were then experiencing the love of legions of devoted soap opera fans.
Fanstastic special features as well, there's a documentary all about the Slaters and you even get an alternative ending to the Little Mo story. I loved this DVD.

I think the best bit of Eastenders is the music title track, though this has now become the butt of many comedians jokes about the show. Read morePublished on 19 Oct. 2013 by Mr. A. T. Jones
