I bought this for my wife, who although an experienced Windows PC user, was 'jumping ship' to AppleMac. We have ended up with three of these publications, as no single one has all the answers. The book is the usual 'dummies' format, which I have found useful in the past for Windows systems. None of them has answered all the basic questions, although there is ample information concerning all the multifarious things you can do with this equipment. Hence I give it three stars. The system is different from mainstream Apple ones, such as Maverick, which I find easy. This one though presents a challenge and maybe we are more 'dummy' than we thought - hence such books! As a footnote, due to our experiences, I have opted for a Chromebook, which is just dandy.

I got this for my elderly next door neighbour who was given the iPad as a present having had absolutely no computer experience at all beforehand. Admittedly those of an older generation tend to read "how to" (as against the modern method of "learn as you play") but it is a definite hit and I believe a lot of younger or more experienced users could learn a thing or two from this well compiled tome.

This book contains so much, and I will only use about a third of its information. Would have preferred it to be more of a pocket size reference book and therefore easy to take with you when travelling. Never the less a good buy with all you would want to know about your iPad and much, much more!!!!

I purchased this for my wife, who is ablt o use the internet, but is not computer literate. It is a very useful reference guide for the Ipad. It is clear and simple for anybody trying to get to grips with the Ipad. Most people of our age (65), whether computer literate or not, seem to prefer a book as a reference guide rather than one stored on the computer itself. A well worth purchase.

This book has made learning how to use my new I pad so much more enjoyable. Handy tips and useful screen shots make it easy to understand and instructions are clear and concise without making you feel like you are stupid. Everyone who is nervous about using an I pad for the first time, especially those of a certain age should have this book by their side in the first few weeks.

Purchased for my elderly mother who has just got an IPad. She has started at the beginning and worked through the book which has given her a good insight on how to use the IPad. She has never used anything like a computer or laptop before and this book has helped her a lot.
