I bought this book and have been following it for 3 weeks now.

The book is split into 3 main sections -

1: Introduction, with instructions on breathing, and selling you on YRG

2: The 3 workouts (20min, 30min and 45min)

3: Health section, with eating advice, yoga positions to help cure back and neck problems, etc.

I've been mainly doing the 20 minute and 30 minute workout. I'd say its pretty difficult to say how effective it is as a workout (I do plenty of CV and weight trainign already), but my flexibility and stability has improved a lot since following these workouts.

The book recommends getting a heart monitor to get the most of the CV aspect of the workouts - I dont have one, but you may want to invest in one before you order the book if you plan to take DDP's advice by the letter.

The writing style is good, easy to read, although it sometimes tries to sell you too much on the whole yoga thing - I mean - you already bought the book to be reading it so some of its a bit redunadant.

Theres also a smaller section with the whole routines in without notes for once you get more familiar with the routines and only need a small reminder as to the next position.

Overall - Highly recommended.

Some books have an immediate impact on your life. It changes your way of thinking, your goals, and your focus. This is one of those books. I started implementing stuff from the book before finishing it. I also started back at the beginning and reread it straight through a second time. Fortunately I happened upon the book by chance. My first introduction to Yoga with Diamond Dallas Page was a Facebook share of the video 'Never, Ever Give Up. Arthur's Inspirational Transformation!' It really blew me away. So I immediately started looking into DDP Yoga. I found out that it started with a book. And being a bibliophile I had to check out the book. Here is the history of the progression of YRG to DDP Yoga.

Timeline:
2005 - Yoga For Regular Guys - Published in Paper Back
2006 - YRG Yoga for Regular Guys 3 DVD Set
2008 - Yoga For Regular Guys - Republished in Paperback
2009 - Rebranded as YRG Fitness System
2010 - YRG Fitness System Advance Set
2011 - Rebranded as DDP Yoga
2012 - DDP Yoga Extreme
2013 - Yoga For Regular Guys - Published in eBook format

Fortunately the book had just been republished as an eBook. So I got a copy and started read and rereading. I have been back and forth through the book a number of times in a short time. The book has a hilarious forward by Rob Zombie.

No need for pain. A workout system based on no-impact yoga but with the cardio qualities of aerobics. The book teaches about owning your workout and health, while delivering the subject matter with humour. OK, not all the humour is that funny, but this isn't a dry exercise manual, it's a health manifesto by a charismatic pro wrestler who says you can own your life. This book got me past the fear of wimpy girly yoga and interested in pursuing more DDP Yoga for my health.

The main flaw to this book is the Kindle layout compromises, which make following a series of photos on multiple pages difficult. If I did it over again, I would buy a paper version.
