About the Author

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, now in its 49th year, finds the very best wildlife images taken by the world's top professional and amateur photographers. The most innovative and imaginative photographic images are judged and selected by a panel of experts. The chosen images form an exhibition at the Natural History Museum and elsewhere in the UK every year from the end of October.

This is probably the 6th year in a row that I have brought this diary.
I love it, it has a beautiful photograph on every page, unlike some other diaries.
Many of my friends have commented on how lovely it is and I have since brought them copies as Christmas presents.

I cant recommend this highly enough, I really don't think you will be disappointed.

Wonderful photos, excellent page layouts for writing, I buy them every year - for myself, and my grandson, a great wildlife fan contributes to the daily blog - with comments about the photos. Love it! Well packed as usual.

Whoever decided it would be a good idea to produce a diary, that features photography, with the photos placed so they are broken by the centre fold of the book?! And to bind it so that you can't leave the book open - although it's a desk diary? And to bind it poorly, so that the right-hand page is just a bit misaligned, looking irritatingly awry?
I was looking forward to this being a source of enjoyment throughout the year, but I can't keep this book, it irks me so much.

Needed an interesting diary, heard the exhibition was amazing…had seen a few photographs on the net..looked cooool. However! They really did keep all the crazy amazing shots for the exhibition huh…..very naughty. I won't be purchasing for the Natural History Museum again if this is how they operate.

Stunning collection of photos that give you something different every week, a really good variety of subject matters within the general wildlife theme.
As a keen amateur photographer, I especially love the descriptions that go with each photo with some info to provide a little insight into how the photographer took that shot and what they were thinking, as well as the aperture/exposure/shutter speed/camera body and lens type info at the back of the diary.

The only negative point for me is the way the landscape photos are broken up over two (opposing) pages, but I think this is still preferable to said photos being made smaller in order to fit on one page.

For more than 15 years I've been given a 'Country Living' Diary which I have become very attached to, but this year it didn't come so I decided to change completely and although I haven't had time yet to see all the very special photos and the notes by the photographers, there is plenty of space for appointments I am very happy with it.

I bought this for a family member and it was not wanted. It has gone to a charity shop.
It is probably full of beautiful and amazing photographs and nothing wrong with it apart from the fact that it was not as required.
That is entirely my fault so no one need feel badly about it.
