Product description

Lemony Snicket's world famous saga about the charming, intelligent and grossly unlucky Baudelaire orphans continues to alarm and depress its ever-growing number of distressed fans! Here, the entire series - thirteen full length novels on 53 CDs - is read by Tim Curry, adding an even more dastardly and evil dimension to this already miserable tale. Lemony Snicket advises, "if you may be more comfortable getting a good night's sleep, I suggest you should probably choose some other CDs to save yourself from a heapful of horror and woe". This unique audio collection comes in a handy travel tin so you can take your sorrows with you, wherever you go. Set titles : The Bad Beginning - The Reptile Room - The Wide Window -The Miserable Mill - The Austere Academy - The Ersatz Elevator - The Vile Village - The Grim Grotto - The Hostile Hospital - The Carniverous Carnival - The Slippery Slope - The Penultimate Peril - The End

This tin box contains every funny story by Lemony Snicket you can buy these stories as stand alone discs but this set gives you a protective tin to keep your discs safe and is stonger than a plastic box.

If you've read any of these books or seen the movie you may enjoy hearing the other stories Lemony Snicket has created a great series of events which with appearance of Olaf become Unfortunate.

The perfect partner to this item should be the movie which is only based on the first three books but brillantly recreates the books with wonderful cast.

I know this set is very highly priced but if you like audiobooks you can't go far wrong with this plus any long trip can seem bearable with a good and funny set of audiobooks the stories are also on iTunes.

Buy this set and enjoy.

Bought for my wee sister who is 8 (turning 9) and has read most of the books, she was thrilled and loves this,

The box is perfect for keeping the CDs in as the Square CD cases which hold 6+ audio books often break after a while when used regularly so this is much more practical! She listens to them over & over and they haven't got scratched, They are also on the computer now on iTunes as mp3s and can be played on Ipods ect.

hi, i own one of these and it is really, really good. Trust me, if you are planning on giving this as a christmas/birthday gift, i would encourage you with all my heart! The tin is made of metal (i know! cool eh!) with a beautiful illustration of Count Olaf and the three orphans printed over it. The CDs are read by Lemony Snicket & Tim Curry, who are both brilliant readers. A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS is dark, funny and brlliantly written, and these CDs will only make you love them more! If you are a fan of the series, you will love this to bits! The back has a list of all the books in the series. I will now rate them out of 10 and give some comments.

THE BAD BEGINNING-book 1: i thought this was a brilliant first book! 9/10

THE REPTILE ROOM-book 2: the 2nd book is yet again intense and clever with blotches of humour here and there! 9.5/10

THE WIDE WINDOW-book 3: a smashing 3rd episode in the enchanting series that will make you laugh and cry, as well in shake with fear! 10/10

THE MISERABLE MILL-book 4: another brilliant episode! 9.5/10

THE AUSTERE ACADEMY-book 5: the funniest tale so far! introducing bullies and friends, worries and hopes! BREATHTAKING! 10/10

THE ERSATZ ELEVATOR-book 6: my 2nd favorite of the series! so darkly funny with a heartstopping twist that will leave you cold! 10/10

THE VILE VILLAGE-book 7: i loved this episode! pretty epic and intense! 9/10

THE HOSTILE HOSPITAL-book 8: a frightening and wickedly humorous 8th instalment! 9.5/10

THE CARNIVOROUS CARNIVAL-book 9: 3rd best in my opinion! so good! 10/10

THE SLIPPERY SLOPE-book 10: funny and enchanting, if a bit slow. 8.5/10

THE GRIM GROTTO-book 11: the moment we've all been waiting for!
