It all got a bit complicated for me when it came to tailoring a notched collar - it showed me a method I have tried numerous times before, but never ever managed to get right. In the end, I had to unpick what I had sewn and re-do it in a method I have used many times before that has worked. Is that the books fault or mine..... who knows!
One reviewer on here wrote that it only covered ladies jackets and that is true, however, I would guess that tailoring a male or female jacket are very much the same and follow the same principles. If you are doing a mans jacket, I'd say that in the absence of any other books that cover tailoring, don't get put off buying this one!
This book will give you a few other hints and tips which can be used to improve your other sewing projects.
Worth every penny.
