Product description

About the Author

An avid traveler, Dana Delamar is forever curious about the various peoples and cultures that make up the world. Her fascination with the darker side of the human mind has led to her love of steamy, gritty stories of strong people pushed to the edge and tested by their circumstances. Revenge is the first book in the Blood and Honor four-part romantic suspense series, which is set in Italy among the underworld of the Calabrian Mafia. Each story features a hero and heroine forced to make difficult choices in a world where vendettas are quick to erupt and burn for generations; where family ties, both blood and criminal, drive every decision; and where passions flare up and threaten to blaze out of control. When she’s not writing, Dana is zipping off to visit new locales, dreaming about her next trip to Italy, or narrowly avoiding car accidents while she conjures up exploits for her characters. Wow, couldn't put this book down. Don't usually like this up kind of story, an Italian Underworld of the Calabrian Mafia. Full of murder, intrigue and plots between one Mafia Boss and another. Through it all is a romance which is at first Revenge then turns into intense love. First time reading this author's work but look forward to reading others in this series.

Once I got into this book I could not put it down! Such a roller coaster of a story and so much detail made it an enjoyable read. I liked that the author put the Italian translations at the start of the book, this helped me to know how to pronounce some of the surnames etc. Thank you 😊

This is the first time I've read a book from Dana Delamar, so I wasn't sure what exactly I was getting myself into. Even before I started reading there was a page with translations from Italian to English, which I found good (I couldn't remember half of the meanings from High School) & I found it got my mind set on the conversations to come. I must say that I was impressed with the detailed descriptions of the country side, houses, people & food through out the book, it made me feel like I was walking around Italy with the characters. The detail of the Mafiso codes & there involvement with the people & other Mafiso fanctions was visually fantastic. Some of the scenes where a bit tense & as a female I found them disturbing, but the scenes contributed to the storyline.

There are so many twists & turns in this compelling novel. Dana weaves us such a magical story full of love, lies, deception, passion, emotions, action.... Bring on the rest of the series & any others you've got published, reader for LIFE!

This is very well written and the writer has researched crime families well so that the descriptions and dialogue is realistic enough to visualise the individual characters.
The plot is fast paced especially towards the end and has everything I love to read, danger, excitement, romance. There are no good guys in this, all of them capable of commiting evil acts but it is to what degree they are willing to go to that determines their own moral code.
I shall look forward to reading other titles in this series.

I found this book well written and full of twists and turns each one adding to the drama: some of these were a little contrived but, after all, this is fiction. I have now read the whole series of these books and would thoroughly recommend them.

Was a rollercoaster of a read, passionate, exciting mafia tale a warm fuzzy Godfather book but with torture and killings. In fact you root for the bad guys a bit. Fantastic author, and can't wait to read more x

Wow where to start with this review. This book had me completely gripped from start to finish, I wasnt able to put it down until I'd read right to the last page.

The story introduces us to Kate, who begins the book by realising her husband is part of an Italian mob family. After he tries to kill her, she accepts protection from her friend and boss at a children's home, Enrico. Unbeknown to Kate, Enrico is a Mafia don, who is currently in a freud with her husbands family. Enrico falls emotionally for Kate, almost upon first sight, so in order to protect her he keeps his identity a secret. As the frued's become more deadly and friend or enemy is difficult to recognise, Enrico and Kate find themselves in further danger. At the same time, their feelings for each other are becoming stronger by the day. Enrico must find a way to protect the one person he loves.

An addictive read, with a passionate love story, great characters and plenty of suspense. Definately a book I would read again. There is a second book out currently, that focuses on Enrico's secret son from his past, although this book can be read on it's own as it does not have a cliff-hanger.
