Product Description

From the Back Cover

A riveting story of secret sin and the healing power of forgiveness. Airline pilot Connor Evans and his wife, Michele, seem to be the perfect couple living what looks like a perfect life. Then a plane goes down in the Pacific Ocean. One of the casualties is Kiahna Siefert, a flight attendant Connor knew well. Too well. Kiahna's will is very clear: before her seven-year-old son, Max, can be turned over to the state, he must spend the summer with the father he's never met, the father who doesn't know he exists: Connor Evans. Now will the presence of one lonely child and the truth he represents destroy Connor's family ? Or is it possible that healing and hope might come in the shape of a seven-year-old boy? This title is also available as an unabridged Audio Pages CD.

I ordered quite a few books from Amazon for my Mum who is not well but enjoys reading. I ordered novels that sounded good and had a five star rating. I was disappointed when Mum reported that a book was a bit weird or not well written etc. I think sometimes the authors friends and relatives write the reviews!
Anyway Mum absolutely loved this book - she said it is very well written and very moving. She raves about it. She has asked me to order another one for my sister-in-laws Birthday. I don't normally write reviews but Mum was so impressed and so enjoyed this book I would like to encourage others to share the magic.

As a first time Karen Kingsbury reader this book grabbed my attention right from page 1. I cried almost through the whole book - tears of sadness and tears of joy! It is just such a beautiful heartwarming story - even if you are not a Christian, I think this book will mean something to you - about love and forgiveness!

Wonderful story. Very moving, very real, couldn't put it down. I gave the book away to a friend and have bought myself another copy. It is truly encouraging to see how God can work despite our destructive actions...... and to know that when we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness, God really does wipe the slate clean. Thank you Karen for your amazing books which are such an encouragement.

This book is a beautiful read on forgiveness, it takes you through the story and you can actually almost feel what the characters were feeling. It made me think about Jesus and what He did on the cross, can anything really be compared to that? if you think of the enormity of Christ's sacrifice, then it makes it easier to jump through the hurdles of unforgiveness and come to a place of peace with God

I am a huge fan of Karen kingsburys and have read all of her books. This is the second book that I didnt enjoy. ( First is Divine) It was just too obvious and not that engaging. It didnt help that I really didn't like the characters. Which was a surprise because I love her books normally, expecially the Baxter series where you really connect with the characters. Shame.
