Both my child and I love this book. A very gentle and sweet tale of a little girl's love for her mummy... with a few adventures along the way! Written in rhythmic language, with beautiful illustrations, I can thoroughly recommend this book.

I bought this book as like many other reviewers, have a little girl called Martha and agree that the book is quite a reflection of my cheeky little Martha's personality. It's funny and rhyming books always go down well in our house. What got me was the last page and this may be more down to me feeling guilty about being a working mum but it almost made me cry!!

Anyone who has small children will recognise the problems that Martha's nanny has with stopping her charge from doing dangerous things. Written in rhyme, it does not flow quite as well as the Julia Donaldson books, but it is still a good read. As my daughter is called Martha the catchphrase "Martha NO!" is heard quite often in our house, even when we are not reading the book.

Fantastic book. My 2 yr old loves it and I don't mind reading it again and again either. Every page is well thought out with lots of extra things to find like treasure and even a mole having a bath.
