Alan Watts has the amazing ability to describe in words the ineffable nature of the LSD trip experience and anchor it in the workings of the brain and senses.
He credits it for having a political dimension and is positive about its potential uses sacramentally or ceremonially for being joyous.
It could be beneficial for a new generation of users to appreciate his depth of understanding.
Are the psychedelic agents 'pearls before swine? 'He raises the question.

Alan Watts was a rare being. A master talker and a master writer. His Joyous Cosmology is a psychedelic wonder for those who want the drug free 'experience'k. I like this better than Aldous Huxley's Doors.

There is a great talk by Alan Watts on Lsd. It's easily found online. That is the wisest and most level headed talk ever to do with psychedelics. Where Terence McKenna spoke to the initiates, Alan Watts talks to the suits and to the straights and he somehow comes across as persuasive!

the author is by far a more interesting speaker than a writer. The book itself was surprisingly slim and the illustrations charmingly dated.
I recommend the publishers provide a CD or downloadable option.
