He absolutely loves this as he can still nosey out the window, yet enjoy stories he knows and loves from the TV programme but in story form.
Using the same voices as the TV programme it makes it instantly recognisable for children.
A great purchase for any Sam fan!
But, there is a sting in the tale. You find yourself repeatedly singing the Fireman Sam theme tune, this is both embarrassing and soul destroying. It doesn't matter if you listen to thrash metal for 5 days solid, as soon as you stop you'll be humming it. I wonder if they have put some sort of subconscious seed in my mind to go and buy a load of Fireman Sam toys at Christmas.....Think I'll book myself into the local mental hospital to have myself checked out.
Another issue is you don't really listen to the stories properly but quickly realise that whoever this Norman character is, you really want to stick him in a padded box and nail it to the floor. Every story circulates around him doing something stupid. Also, each story merges into one as an adult so you'd swear they were always the same.
One final point, you can never play your music in the car, that stops, only Fireman Sam can grace the air in your car.
....Who or where is Norman's father?
The little ones loved it and it kept them engrossed, giving the opportunity for the grown ups to do some useful housework at home.
I have not used it in the car but as a negative point I do fear that the voices might put me off my driving ? On the whole though it's a very useful form of entertainment .
The CD contains six gently didactic tales from Pontypandy:
1.) Hearts on Fire
2.) Pontypandy Extreme
3.) Elvis Sings the Blues
4.) Blow Me Down
5.) Three Legged Race
6.) Norman's Ark
The stories are expertly written, acted and produced, guaranteed to engage anyone who likes watching everyone's favourite Welsh fireman on TV.
