1.0 out of 5 stars Description is entirely misleading 31 Aug. 2013
By Christel Chancy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The Amazon description says it's about world-building. The reviews all say it's about world-building. I just got the book, and, well, here's a sampling of contents...

"Five Paths to Publication". "Press Releases and Communicating with Print Media". "Talk Show Appearances". "The Writer's Group".

In short? This book is about sales, publication, and drumming up a buzz for a novel. Not one word about world-building.

Somebody needs to actually read the back cover (at the very least), and write this book an entirely new description.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome series! 21 Aug. 2011
By S. Luther - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I purchased every volume in this series and I love that so many different writers lend their unique voice and expertise. Each has their own techniques to tackle different aspects of writing, so it has made my creation much more organized and productive. Great work!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book and series 11 Oct. 2013
By Kelly Jeau G. Larson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I love the down to earth methods of writing the authors present. Oh, there are some typos and such errors, but the information they provide either present items I know, and now feel more confident that I am on the correct path to getting my novel done; or I learned about items I had not even thought about. I trust these authors and the series publishers for these reasons.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review on The Complete Guide to Writing Fantasy # 3 11 May 2008
By April Padget - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this book. Yes, there are a few topics missing, but overall it's really great and was really helpful. I've read it and reread it. I always use it for references. I would recommend this book to anyone who is planning on writing a fantasy novel or just reading it for fun.
