    This review might not be too helpful but I figured I'd leave it anyway:

    Bought the key, used Prime delivery and it turned up the next day. Inside the envelope was a URL to download an ISO, and it downloaded fairly quickly, but I didn't have a disk to hand to burn it onto, so make sure you have one ready.

    It was like midnight when I did this, so went to my mate's to get a disk, he didn't have one so instead he gave me Windows10 on a USB stick. I thought why not, and rebooted my machine with the USB stick, ended up putting Windows10 on my machine instead of 7...

    After trying like 30 different keys from various Youtube videos to activate 10, I figured why not try the the key I bought for Windows7 on 10 instead, and it worked!

    So I can confirm the key I got was legit, but I can't really say how well the 7 ISO would've worked because I ended up doing my own little thing...

    I bought this product to revive an old PC that I had refurbished - exactly what the product purported to be for. The disk I received was genuine (as far as I could tell), but the license is definitely a forgery. Somehow or other it got through the online authentication process, so I haven't had a practical problem, but if you visit Microsoft's web site and check to see what a genuine license should look like, what you get here is nothing like what you should get if the product were completely above board. Clearly someone has found a way of generating valid license keys and can produce a plausible license label, if you don't look too hard.

    I reported the matter to the vendor and was told to "grow up and get a life". I contacted Amazon about the matter, and was told that the vendor would be dealt with appropriately harshly, and that I would receive a refund n matter what. Amazon hasn't made good on either of these points, as far as I can tell, and I think I was simply fed platitudes to shut me up. Amazon have no financial interest in taking this seller down, and I would suggest that they're complicit in software theft as a result.

    I explored the matter of reporting this matter to either Microsoft or the police, but fortunately for these scoundrels it's incredibly difficult to do.

    The charity that everyone has heard of would not appreciate getting their license revoked, so in the end I find that I have to fall silent.

    When I used these keys to authenticate Windows I had 3 results.

    1. Worked great first try after typing in the key
    2. Did not accept key, had to use the phone system. The Automated phone system worked.
    3. Did not accept key, had to use the phone system. The Automated phone system did not work, so I had to speak with the representative in order to authenticate (all with a customer on the phone).

    So, yes they work, but kind of a pain.

    Easy to follow instructions sent along with links for Windows 7 installation files download link.
    Online installation failed but was easy to activate with 'phone activation' according to instructions.
    Windows 7 is up and running quite quick! Just mind you, this is OEM copy(not a retail copy) but no difference in terms of utility. It's fully authorized by Microsoft so updates etc. will work as normal. Single PC license but can't expect more for the price.

    Works for 3 months trial/evaluation and then pops up to say that it is not genuine. On contacting Microsoft it is definitely not genuine and a search of the internet shows that they have been in dispute with Microsoft over selling illegal software.

    Can't open a claim on Amazon so not sure if I can get my money back in any way, so probably out of pocket and will need to buy new software.

    In my case it was relatively simple. Backed up anything that wasn't already backed up. Installed W7 Pro from a disc that I already had over an XP installation and used the key provided. It took some considerable time after that to auto install multiple updates etc but the end result seems satisfactory. Installing 2 wifi extenders has taken far more time and hair loss!!

    After putting off an upgrade from Vista on my home office computer, I'm glad I installed Windows 7 Professional! I am running it on a 7-year-old desktop computer with a 3.0 GHz processor and 4GB of ram. It runs very fast on this system--better than Vista overall. I was a little reluctant about giving up the built-in Mail program in Vista, but I have had no problem at all migrating to Windows Mail on Live Essentials. Overall, this is a great product and I probably should have upgraded sooner. I will stick with Windows 7 as long as I can since productivity--not flash--is key to my work. Also, no problems at all with the OEM install.
