easy to hold and use
turbo brush does a good job on carpets because it's actually powered from the cleaners electrical power not it's exhaust (so not a turbo at all but a simple powered brush)
crevice nozzle does a good job too
You can't easily take the turbo brush off
cannot empty cleaner with turbo brush on
very small capacity really
Ok, so I said the same thing twice there, but in two different ways. The turbo brush is the big flaw with this cleaner. Once in place you need the muscles of a gorilla to remove it and you have to remove it to empty the cleaner.
I've been using this to clean up the mess I keep making doing some diy as it was easier to have this handy than fetch the big household vac all the time and it does the job. It's just spoiled by the lack of an easy way to remove that turbo brush!
If someone has a means of getting the brush off without using a large flat bladed screwdriver to prise the two items apart, please share and I'll reappraise my review quite happily.
It's a light, very powerful, the powered roller brush does a great job with pet hairs etc, the filters are excellent & filter out even the tiniest particles.
Overall I am very pleased with it, especially(maybe because) buying it refurbished at a great price.
It isn't perfect though, here are the issues i have discovered
Small capacity means you will be emptying...a lot.
You cannot empty it with the brush bar attached
The brush bar is a VERY tight fit & is a PITA to have to keep removing to empty.
This vents from the sides and slightly downwards, with its high power this often means the vents blow the dust around the room before you get close enough to actually suck up the dust, especially on tiled or laminate flooring.
The fine filters, as mentioned above, are good, but, will also need cleaning, a lot, like every time you empty it.
Usually a few firm taps will loosen most of the dust, but the filters are actually in 2 parts, & getting them apart & basic cleaning of them will leave your hands filthy & a lot of fine dust floating around.
I've been using an old paint brush to brush the filters, but you still end up filthy & you really must do it every time you empty the thing to keep up the suction & avoid over heating.
I may try a little light sanding on the brush bar assembly, see if i can make removing it a bit easier, I'm a strapping 6 foot 15 stone bloke & I struggle, a little old lady, or anyone without my mighty manliness would have no chance! I'll post an update if I get it to improve at all.
I suspect, had I paid £10 more, I would've returned it!
