Fantastic size. There's only 2 of us but this could feed 4 easily. Really easy to use. The only thing I could complain about is that the High setting is fierce!! I would cook everything on either Low or Auto and if that's all to complain about it is practically perfect! It saves us loads of time as we both work full time, but also means that at the end of a hard days work we can still have a healthy filling meal :-)

Produces wonderful meals and is just big enough to feed four so long as you do your spuds separately rather than including them in your stew.

Good volume and shape; small footprint and good depth mean you can part fill it more easily than some large diameter cookers.

But I found that even on the low setting it cooked the food too hot and fast. I boiled the first couple of stews dry to the point that they burned on & cleaning the dish was labour of love. My previous(~30yr old) slow cooker would simmer gently from 8am to 8pm with very little loss of liquid; this one boils rapidly and dries out unless you are there to watch it & top it up, or start with loads, and loads of liquid. If buying again I would definitely go for less power/lower wattage.

Disappointed. It's not really a slow cooker as even on the lowest setting the crock pot contents are boiling at speed within about 20mins and positively overcooked by evening meal time. Poorly insulated so I imagine very inefficient. My last slow cooker still working after 18 years was a Russell Hobbs and was far superior but unfortunately a growing family has outgrown its size.

The first time I used this on Auto it completely overcooked the meal. I investigated by filling with water and using a thermometer. All temperature setting "Low", "Auto", "High" registered at around 98 C. Returned the product and bought a Morphy Richards 48710, which works as a slow cooker should.

Perhaps I should have learnt that you get what you pay for and this was cheap but I was seduced by the Breville brand. Poor exqmple recipes just three. Ill fitting glass lid that allows the contents to boil dry. No noticable difference on the three settings. I would describe all as High and the food is cooked quickly as the juices simmer away. Can't return it I live abroad. Breville VTP112 Polished Stainless Steel 3.5 L Slow CookerWill not by Breville again.

It cooks to fast on a high setting. Very bubble mixture when cooking. Wouldn't want to leave over night.

The glass lid is always misty. Therefore you cannot see the food clearly, as advertised
