What an absolute bargain.
This PC is really nice. It's quite small and lightweight, but can act as a tablet and still be useful by converting to a PC.
I've bought 2 of these for my children and they love them. Homework is easy, watching a film is simple, especially in tent mode.
Ok, they're not the fastest PC's in the world, but for browsing the internet and watching TV on the catchup services or Netflix etc they are great.
Full version of windows 10 preinstalled and setup using a microsoft account in a few minutes
One of my favourite things is the solid state hard drive, meaning that they boot up in just a few seconds. I haven't timed them, but it appears to be less than 10 secs from off to login screen. Unfortunately, the capacity of the hard drive is very low at only 32GB. This causes a few issues for watching downloaded content, but by setting all downloads to a NAS, or in my case a desktop PC on the LAN, this can be mitigated.
I was hoping to resolve the storage issue by inserting an 128GB SD card into the PC to provide an additional drive for storage of offline content, but unfortunately the SD card sticks out of the side of the PC quite a way (about 15mm), which would be susceptible to damage. I was hoping to put this in and just leave it there but alas, the design is not good enough for this. If it was a space issue, then they should have used a micro SD card port.
All in all though, I would recdommend this. The gripes are relatively small and can easily be resolved, and only really cause issue when you are out and about anyway.

YOGA 300
========
It's an extremely compact gadget. A '360-degree flip-and-fold' hybrid design, the Lenovo Yoga 300 is both a laptop and tablet rolled into one.

BUNDLED
========
It's bundled with Windows 8.1, which is fine but I upgraded to the free windows 10. I personally think it's a better machine with this on.

LOOKS
======
The Lenovo Yoga 300 has the standard chassis. Smooth, sleek plastic that has a smart black finish. It can be prone to the odd fingerprint but I rather like the sleek styling. It really is gorgeous to look at, and very pleasant to touch.
It's thin too and not too heavy considering it's a 2 in 1 machine. (heavier than a standalone tablet but lighter than a laptop. (1.40 KGs)

TENT MODE
==========
You can move the screen all the way around, or simply ajar: tent mode. This is perfect for watching films with. The metal hinges that allow you twist the Yoga into position are smooth and sturdy. There's certainly no wobble. Equally it's not too hard to manoeuvre.

TARGET AUDIENCE
===============
This laptop is designed for general users. It can be used for games, animating, video editing etc but it's not really suited for that. If you need a light laptop with the benefits of a touch-screen tablet this is for you.

DISPLAY
=======
Its screen is a real joy to use - large, but not too large. Bright with brilliant clear colours. Even in daylight there screen was fine with little reflection.
For films the screen is HD and 'anti-glare' so it's one of the best devices to watch films on. From HD films to youtube clips it was perfect.

CHROMEBOOK
============
It's not a chromebook but it's similar in some respects.

Style: Intel Celeron N2840, Windows 8.1Colour: Black Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
First impressions were pretty good actually. It has a nice big touchpad which is quite responsive. The keys feel fine. The screen quality is pretty good for its size – ok so it's maybe not as punchy as some more expensive tablet/laptop/notebooks, but perfectly acceptable on a machine of this size.

It's got three USB ports - Hoorah! I do hate it when they skimp on USB ports! One is labelled USB 3.0 port, not sure if you can use that for lower rated stuff.

It came with Windows 8.1. I had to install MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access) using an external disk drive (I will make a big point of saying that this machine has NO DISK DRIVE, so you will need to use an external one).

It comes with McAfee Anti virus which I don't like - so I ditched it for Avast.

The camera is adequate, although I don't take photos with a notebook. It has a memory card slot. It also has an audio jack slot for voice-activated software or headphones. My voice-activated headphones use a USB slot. It has the usual up-and-down volume buttons on the side, an HDMI port and an RJ–45 port.

Sound wise, it doesn't go up very loud and it's a little tinny through its internal speakers but it's adequate for listening to an audiobook or a film clips. I'm finding I've got to plug a speaker in if I'm wanting to hear it across the room - and the sound quality then (depending on the quality of your speaker system of course) can be excellent with the full range of sounds.

One of its selling points is you can flip the screen around and use it as a tablet. When you do this the keyboard is disabled. The touchscreen is pretty responsive. I do like the fact that it's a notebook/tablet and you can either use the keyboard or screen.
