The bowl/loaf tin comes with a little booklet of recipes - which is the same 6 recipes in multiple languages. However, it is nice to get a little book of tips and recipes if you are keen to get going and have next to no idea (as I did).
No one was more surprised than I, when my very first go produced light, fluffy bread made entirely from spelt flour. Even hubby (who had been grinning away at the thought of me even attempting it in the first place) was amazed and pleased with the outcome. There was a distinct "lack of said" flavour that I suppose we just get used to with preserved bread in stores.
The fact that the recipe was on the web and touted as the best beginners easy bread recipe did not dull my sense of achievement. However, when I tried the no knead recipe with spelt flour, the resulting loaf was not the most delicious of breads. It would make a great weight for fishing pots or Highland games perhaps.
Either way, I am still really enjoying making bread, and I would not have bothered trying without this nifty bit of kit.
