I did not think it came with a guide but it does. Easy to use and cuts very cleanly, easy to operate with one hand. High quality tool, good case.
Only thing that I think would be an improvement, and this is a tiny niggle, I'm being very critical now, is you have to squeeze up an Allen key nut to lock the guide -supplied and stores at the end if the handle. Although if they put a wing nut on it, it would be bigger and get in the way. So they have done the right thing.
I would happily recommend this to all, worth every penny and looks to me like it will last many years. I could not be happier.
Delivery reliably speedy as always.
I've used a relatively huge 7 1/2 inch Bosch circular saw for years. It's collecting dust because of this handy compact saw. It lives in my tool bag with ease, carrying it around is so easy, that it's becoming my go-to saw to cut wood and metal.
It's precise. The knobs are quick and secure to set any angle cut. The blade is on the left side of the drive. This ensure I have a clear view over the cut so it's safer, more accurate, user friendly and better results.
My hands are average size (size 8-9 glove size Large) and I find the grip size /surface & design easy to hold on to and user friendly. For small hands this might be a challenge. The trigger pull is easy to operate and control.
The blade turns as a slower RPM than my full size saw, slow down your feed and this saw gives a clean crisp cut to anything. For big tough jobs you need a bigger saw.
I am Very pleased with the quality features, portability and durability of this handy saw. Recommend this without reservations.
bigger capacity and angled cuts
I agree with another reviewer that the cut is not square to the baseplate. The biggest let down are the replacement blades. I have had to buy several at a time from Amazon because they are not always available when you need them. Blades do not last long when cutting melamine faced chipboard. The cut is not clean and chips badly due to the poor design of the blade. Even when cutting 15mm melamine chipboard I found that the only way to cut without wander was to make the cut in to half depth passes as the blade overheats and wanders as it distorts. It has no heat expansion slots designed into the blade as do other makes of circular saw blade.
Several manufacturers have produced similar tools, none, have so far got it right the Worx sadly falls into that category, for a couple of reasons mentioned by other reviewers, spoiling the ship for a halfpenny of tar-
The blade is woefully inadequate for the capacity of the machine, being 9.5 mm bore your only choice is to replace the inadequate original blade for an equally inadequate replacement.
My saw will not cut in straight lines even against a straight edge, the reason I suspect is that the blade and baseplate are not parallel being 2mm out across 100mm of blade diameter so they are always working against each other causing the blade to wander and bind.
Chinese made products have come on in leaps and bounds in recent years but no way will they stand comparison with German products as claimed on the Worx website, perhaps it's the old chestnut of lack of quality control. manufacturing precision or economy?.
Will I keep it? Jury's out but.
