The original Kingdom Hearts was one of the most enchanting & captivating JRPG's on the Playstation 2. Now 10 years later, the original game & two spin-off titles (Re:Chain of Memories & 358/2 Days) have been remastered into 1080p HD (60 FPS) & placed onto one Blu-Ray disc with full trophy support for all 3 titles.

Kingdom Hearts follows the story of a young boy named Sora whose home world is destroyed by darkness the the army of shadow creatures Heartless. When Sora awakes on a new world, separated from his friends Riku & Kairi and joins forces with Disney characters Donald & Goofy the three search various Disney themed worlds in search of Riku, Kairi & King Mickey in hope that they can stop the Heartless from consuming any more worlds.
Featuring cameos from many Final Fantasy & Disney characters, Kingdom Hearts is great for children & hardcore JRPG fans due to is generous difficulty curve & enchanting story.

The Limited Edition contains: Hardback Art Book Game Case signed by series creator.

Although the limited edition doesn't really offer much extra, the game itself is wonderful. The camera issues in the original title have been worked out, although it's still not perfect, resulting in improved playability in certain worlds. Re:CoM, unfortunately persists with its mess of a battle system, although both games look very nice, and the 358/2 Days 'movie' is both pretty to look at, and oddly heartbreaking, like condensing the entire game into a couple of hours.

With the announcement of KH2.5 next year, and KH3 on its way, this pack is absolutely essential for anyone who is not already familiar with the entire plot of the Kingdom Hearts series thus far.

Absolutely beautifully ReMixed. :) Looks stunning in HD. I've loved this game since I first played it and the magic is still there today. I highly recommend it to any Disney/Square Enix fans. The Limited Edition book is very lovely to look at. I'm now just hoping on a 2.5 HD ReMix.

Ah, the collection of the first three (somewhat... First three that make sense in the game timeline, anyway) Kingdom Hearts releases.

The first Kingdom Hearts is a pretty decent game. Had it on the PS2, but never managed to complete it, so welcomed this chance to go through it again, and I actually completed it, yay!
Then there's Re:CoM - one that I tried on the GBA, but couldn't get into the controls, and was never released in the UK in its PS2 re-release, so this was a good chance to play this, too. The story is pretty decent, but I'm not a fan of the combat.
Finally, 358/2 Days, this one just being a compilation of the DS game's cutscenes, and other important info to tell that story.

KH comes first, Re:CoM and 358/2 run at the same time (they each focus on a different set of characters, but there is a lot of overlap, as Re:CoM deals with Sora's (and Riku's) journey through Castle Oblivion, a place run by the mysterious Organisation XIII. 358/2 focuses on Roxas, the "nobody" of Sora, who is a part of the Organisation, and deals with his relationship with the other Organisation members, as well as giving reference to the events of Re:CoM (whilst the members with an important role in Re:CoM go to Castle Oblivion, they don't take part in any of the story events in 358/2, as they're not around to take part, so going through the 358 stuff is helped with prior knowledge of Re:CoM's events

The Limited Edition also came with a pretty nice case and mini-artbook, showcasing a variety of pieces of artwork, including a few concept art pieces, and I quite like it as an addition to the collection.

Overall, 1.5 HD ReMIX is a nice compilation, looking forward to 2.5's release, and then 3 hopefully shan't be too much longer away!

Ok this is my first review on Amazon. I will be covering a few details in this review.

-Game:
So the game itself is a work of art. it looks stunning and plays just like the original. Baring in mind the controls for platforming are still as clunky as the original but feel this adds to its charm. The voice acting is spot on and considering its a full remake from scratch it holds up and is stunning. For this who didn't play Final Mix originally and played KH vanilla, (original) proud mode on final mix is a lot harder and will be a major challenge for you. If thats not enough the game has a new setting that is "no exp" for those hardcore gamers who want an insane challenge. Music is still excellent and all the characters are well rounded for an enjoyable gaming experience. Also to throw into the mix you get to play a ported version of KH: Chain of memories and also get over 2 hours of cinematics from the acclaimed KH: 358/2 days. All again looking incredible in HD quality.

-Case:
The limited edition case is mind blowingly good. It looks brilliant! I was expecting to have a seperate book and game case but its packaged as one product with the game disc at the back. The book includes some original artwork and is a nice addition for a little more money compared to the standard edition.

-Amazon:
Now I would have rated this a 5 star purchase, Amazon were perfect in the delivery timescales and this is the first time when preordering anything online getting it on release. But low and behold, there was supposed to be a free dynamic theme for those who preordered and nothing yet has been mentioned on this. I have tried looking through all my order details and when I preordered I read online that this should accompany the preorder.
