The game got into the action fast and the graphics were great. The controls were easy to follow and the skills really enhanced the gameplay. The variety of weapons, armour and accessories available really made tailoring your hero fun.
Barbarian does exactly what you expect a barbarian to and jumps into every fight smashing anything and everything in its path.
Monk whilst starting slow soon grows into a powerful fighter, although maybe if never as strong as the barbarian.
Wizard is a great magic user and has a good assortment of offensive and defensive spells making him a good team player, it not a great solo character.
Demon Hunter is just another name for your old fashioned ranger, but his ability to hold 2 crossbows and some great skills make him a good addition to any party or play alone.
Witch Doctor is Blizzards idea of a sense of humour, and it's great. You walk around like the hunchback of Notre Damme, summon some crazy ass monsters and launch some awesome poison cloud spells that just melt opponents like they weren't there. With it's summons, the witch doctor can be played solo or awesome as a support character.
My conclusion is this game doesn't need any thinking, any concentration or commitment, you simply turn it on, and kick the hell outta anything that moves. Defo recommend this to anyone who is remotely interested in RPGs' and if you liked Diablo of old, this is a true upgrade and well worth the time and money.
Diablo 3 is probably a bit old school for the modern generation of gamers. Those that remember hammering away at the one button to mash through enemies in Golden Axe or Streets of Rage will feel right at home here. It's clearly not a huge release and won't be knocking any of the big releases (GTA V) off their perch, but it's a lot of fun... and frankly that's whats important. Sadly the story won't be winning any prizes as it's a pretty standard fantasy plot. However I've enjoyed playing as a Witch Doctor, his African accent is at least different to the usual American gung-ho hero type.Read more ›
Like many of us I don't have a PC good enough to run games (unless I'm playing on my MAME and ZX Spectrum emulators!) so until now I haven't had the chance to play it. And what a refreshing breath of fresh air this game is. If you think you might be losing your gaming mojo as you've gotten sick of seeing yet another generic modern military FPS on consoles then I strongly suggest you buy this game, or at the very least rent it and give it a look.
Going through it on your own is one thing (my Wizard is now Paragon Lv 4!), but what is truly magical about this game is a return of something that's been missing for a while now - and that's the good old couch potato sessions you can have with friends. Add beer and banter and you'll be guaranteed a good laugh!
The game itself looks and runs very nicely, the controls and menu system are overall intuitive, they may seem a little overbearing at first but you'll soon get to grips with it. Apparently compared to the PC version of the game the loot is much better too - and there's also no always online requirement. Speaking of the online aspect you can choose to play in European only servers, as well as only playing with people who speak the same language. You can also set your game to public or friends only. There isn't an online pass either.
This game is seriously addictive if you get into it - it's been a LONG while since a game has had me playing from the early evening only for me to look at the clock and see it's 3 am. So with that in mind I thoroughly recommend this game.
Here's a tip: Go everywhere, look everywhere. That one part on the map you miss might well be the one place with a chest or a group of enemies that may just have that nice Legendary piece of kit you want.

Love the gameplay. Fun game. I feel the it is over the top slightly with being gruesome and is definitely a bit dark. But if it wasn't for that it would be 5 star. Read morePublished 17 months ago by ziggy93
Compared to Diablo 2 , it's now more Arcade Action than a PC game, meaning, you never have to play Diablo 1 or 2 to get into this, other than D1 and D2 are more rustic and... Read morePublished 18 months ago by Amazon Customer
