Whilst it isn't light, it does fit in my handbag nicely and I can easily connect it to my phone with a short USB cable.
I spent the day out using my phone periodically to check where I was on the map, something that would normally help to drain the battery quite quickly. At the end of the day the phone was fully charged.
Since then I've used this power bank to keep the phone topped up from time to time.
Charging time is good, provided that you use the 2A output socket. I can use the 1A socket with this phone, but it would charge so well with this model.
The torch isn't the most powerful of LED torches, but it is sufficient to illuminate a safe walk or help you find something in the middle of the night whilst camping. If you need something brighter, then you do have your mobile or tablet to hand which can have a 'flashlight' app installed.
It could perhaps benefit from some waterproof covers over the sockets for future development. I'm sure that a lot of campers end up getting a little damp over the course of a week or even a weekend break. A tough waterproof bag would be a good place to keep it, along with your phone if that you intend to stay away for a long period.
I've bought a couple of power banks in the past for my S2 and a friend's Ace. They did the job for those phones but can't keep the latest phones charged as well as their power output isn't enough. This should see me for a lot longer and will keep a tablet charged too.
I looked online, read a few reviews and came across EasyAcc's range. The main features attracting me to this are its huge capacity (I can charge my phone five or so times before worrying about recharging the power pack/battery bank/portable charger/whatever the hell you call these things) and its 2.1A output rating. The latter really did it for me - it charges my Galaxy Note 3 as fast as my mains charger.
I bought this with the generic EasyAcc carry pouch and it fits perfectly, with a little extra space and room to store the cables. The thing is pretty big though, larger than my huge phone, and quite heavy. It's a fair trade off for its capacity, but I bought the lower capacity 10000mAh model as a gift for someone and I much prefer its size and weight.
I've yet to travel anywhere abroad or somewhere remote where the intended convenience of this device would come into play, but I find I'm using it at home all the time. The cable length of most factory shipped phone chargers is so short that you can't comfortably use the phone while charging. This allows me to charge anywhere.
The four LEDs on this thing which indicate the remaining capacity are needlessly huge, and actually quite ugly. The 10000mAh model has tiny, discreet lights which should have been used here too.Read more ›
The LED light in addition lights a dark room just enough to fumble around
I was recommended this product by a friend of mine, when I borrowed his charger on a journey home and it worked beautifully
Aesthetics: this is a smart and humble looking product that silently screams "Quality" it has a really smooth surface, not sure what it material it is exactly, some sort of rubber I presume but it is a really friendly grip, the clear branding, colour strip really lend it some great looks.
Size: I have seen that many people think this is quite heavy and I wouldn't really agree, if you want something quality then it needs some weight to prove it! it isn't even that heavy to be honest. I am not sure what to compare it to but I would say, slightly less than a Bake Bean can ( of course Heinz ;) ) It is small enough to fit in my pocket with my iPod too and they hardly pull my trousers down. but one way I have found to fit in all pockets is to put the charger in the back pocket and the iPod in the front pocket and use the USB cable to connect them and the charge away discreetly in my pocket. its great!
Cost: well worth your money I, have been looking for a decent charger with bags of charge for a cheap price and this just goes beyond a bargain! you aren't going to find anything better for this price really, unless its fake, which actually happens by the way, but not with this product.
Customer: this fits anyone, young and old, though probably isn't best for any child under 12.. ish. But it is so easy for anyone, you could even explain this to your ancient grandma in less than 5 minutes.Read more ›

Still going strong...a great help just when I need it as well as others. :)
It is quick to charge my devices, sometimes better than from a power socket.
Brilliant product. I took it camping for 2 weeks and it charged my devices around 6 times.Published 17 months ago by Kirsty Molloy
Bought it in march, it's only been used a handful of times since and now it won't charge anything attached to it, so now I've effectively got a very heavy, expensive LED torchPublished 17 months ago by amysrainbow
