Product description

Panasonic NN-CF760MPBQ - Ultimate Cooking Matters. Panasonic's NN-CF760MPBQ offers the ultimate in cooking performance, by combining the efficiency of a microwave with the traditional browning and roasting of a conventional oven. The sleek and stylish stainless steel exterior and interior is not only for aesthetics but also hygiene and ease of use; it is a lot simpler to clean than other materials. Combination Ovens. The convection oven offers a full temperature range 40, 100-250C, which ensures the success when cooking anything from meringues, cakes, pastries to Yorkshire Puddings and roast joints. In addition, the Turbo Bake program combines the Convection Oven and Grill to give extra crisping and browning to food, such as pizza, while significantly reducing the cooking time. combi5yw

This combi oven has performed excellently for the first couple of weeks of use. Unlike other reviewers, I have not found the microwave "slow" to warm/reheat food. Fan oven is first class. This years Christmas Cake baked perfectly. Jacket potatos as we like them. Instruction/recipe book comprehensive. Looking foreward to cooking some more of the recipes.
It is initially a little alarming when microwaving not seeing the dish spinning like a Dervish but that's the point of a flatbed.
Chaos defrost seems to work reasonably well without starting to cook the food. Maybe leaves food still slightly frozen in the middle but another quick burst solves that problem.
Cons:
No temperature indicator. You cant tell how long to go on the pre-heat or to convince yourself the correct temperature is being maintained.
Can't think of anything else I would have liked.

Time will tell whether the interior light keeps illuminating.

I have never owned or used a combination microwave oven before. As previously stated it does take a bit of getting used to but am very impressed with it. The 1000w microwave is good - not the best but does the job. The creme de la creme is the jacket potatoes, you just hit the potato program enter weight and it does it all for you. a combination of grill, oven and microwave offers the most fanstastic results. Best Baked/jacket potatoes I have ever eaten, fluffy inside and crispy skins wow.

Salmon also comes out a treat.

Get to know what bits and bobs are needed in the microwave when its being used. The first time I put in the antispark ring when cooking - it wasn't needed and melted a bit - but not beyond use.

Panasonic NN-CF778SBPQ Family Size Combination Microwave Oven, 1000 Watt, Stainless Steel Recently, I've been in the unusual situation of buying not one, but two, Panasonic 27 litre flat-bed combination microwaves, and using them pretty extensively for several months. So I'm able to give a quite objective view of the merits and failings of both, particularly with the convection oven, which is a major reason for buying these two models. And here the CF760 has some quite important faults:
1. As another customer pointed out, the oven rests on 4 tiny polished rubber feet. Every time you push the button to open the door, the whole microwave slides back. You often have to hold the microwave steady with one hand, whilst pushing the button with the other, which is very inconvenient.
2. When heating up the convection oven it does not ping when the required temperature is reached. This means that you have to stand watching it for several minutes in order to see when the tiny propellor symbol stops whirring.
3. When using the convection oven anything on the side facing the fan tends to get burnt, whilst the side nearest the door is still cooking.
4. The temperature range in the convection fan oven starts at 150 (equivalent to 170 in a normal oven), which means that slow roasting is not possible.

The CF778, by contrast, suffers from none of these faults, except possibly the tendency to burn on the fan side. It's major problem for me was that the door hinges downwards, which means that if the oven is placed fairly high up (as in my kitchen) it is difficult to move things in and out, particularly hot objects.

I am delighted with this purchase. I had to think carefully at first as this microwave is significantly different from my previous one. However I now use it with confidence and, being flat bed, the possibilities are much greater for use of the convection oven application. It heats up very quickly and I frequently now use it instead of my larger oven.

Brilliant! Replaced my old Panasonic combi which I loved and used more than my conventional oven. I really wanted two shelf cooking as I use this instead of the oven (or as well as if I've lots round for dinner) and this was the best I could find but it was less expensive than the old model I had!!
Great accessories and info booklet so I know how to turbo cook things properly!
This oven will save you loads if time- the pre-heat in sooo fast, and as it cooks quicker using it's clever combination programs it's twice as quick and uses half the energy! I could ask for anything better!!
Oh! And it's easy to clean!! BRILLIANT!

yes this works as i had hoped in that cooking using the combi features of grill, convection and microwave together make for gets the best of both worlds, speed and oven like taste and smell. My problem is first the design, man its ugly, this square 1980's silver cube with clunks open and shut mechanism. And the timer, omg the timer. You cannot use the delay start timer when using the auto cook program!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what? There is no reason other than slopping programming for this feature not be activated. So im happy with the cooking process but the design element of this microwave is zero out 5. Given its price point i expect better, however there wasnt else out there i could find with the same level of good reviews for the price. At the end of the day its a 1000w microwave which is damn powerful, plus an oven and a grill which you can choose to use or not use. By the way, note this will pull plenty of power from your socket, 840w for the micro, 1380w for the grill and 1450w for the convection. Thats hovering around 2500w in combi cooking. Just a thought in case you was planning of using on a socket shared with another appliance. 3000w is normally the maximum for one socket.

btw if you tend to skip manuals such as i do you will miss the bit that says to operate the oven at its highest temperature for 5 minutes while empty before first use to get rid of the chemical smell caused by the substance they use to prevent rust.
