Everyone knows - these are the ones to get. Used in Raspberry PI - class 10. It's not about how fast the PI and write to this, it's how fast your PC can write to it when making those images. Believe me, watching an image take an hour at 1.7mbps is not fun at all.

This just whips along. Image done. Thanks a lot.

Now, I'll leave it to the other reviewers to talk about bandwith, write and read-speeds.

Bought this to increase the memory for my Moto G 2nd Gen phone so I could transfer additional music files.Worked straight out of the pack - no formatting required and all files transferred without a problem. Excellent product at an amazing price.

After reading many reviews about buying SD cards, I was a bit anxious but decided to take the plunge with this one and I'm pleased to say that it is is the real deal. Works well in my DSLR and laptop and is exactly what it says on the tin. Would definitely buy from here again.

Actually it was faulty: nothing readable or fomattable was recognised by any of our 4 computers, Windows and Linux, and it just showed 30MB unused space. Tried with a USB card reader as well as the supplied SD adaptor, just to be sure, but it still didn't work. So I filled in the faulty item page, and a replacement was sent immediately, arrived very quickly, and worked first time. Thank you! Returning the faulty one was pretty straightforward, too.

Having just bought a Lumia 640 i wanted a higher capacity Micro SD than the 8gb that i was using and after looking at many reviews i settled on the 32gb SanDisk Ultra ,my choice was based firstly on the good reviews but also on the excellent price for a high specced card

Transferring all of my apps etc from the 8gb card to the phone memory took just minutes and then it was simply a case of transferring it all back to the new card, i now have plenty of storage for photos etc and the phone memory is no longer full which has had a positive effect on the phones performance

this is a great card that performs without problems and i have no hesitation in recommending it

I put this in my hiking GPS (Garmin Montana 680) which will take vastly larger cards but doesn't need to. The largest data I have on the card is my 1gb TalkyToaster maps, other than that it's just for a few pictures and tracks/routes which are small data files. I'm told (though I haven't tested it) larger data cards make the GPS boot-times longer, so I went for el-cheapo 8gb.

For my needs read speeds are more important than write speeds (the unit reading the map) but write speeds are also important for recording tracks and saving relatively small camera images. For my relatively modest usage (not Full HD 4K recording etc.) it's working perfectly well.

I do archive all my card data onto a computer, as should everyone. If this card fails I will update this review.

UPDATE:
This card failed after 2 months of usage with my Raspberry Pi. So, i sent a RMA request to get it replace.
SanDisk will NOT RMA or replace SD cards used in bootable devices.

The Raspberry Pi has a limit for Sdcard throughput around 20mb/s for both read and write.

Sandisk Ultra 8gb speeds running on a pi2 (seq):
- Write = 14mb/s
- Read = 18.8mb/s

Samsung Evo 8gb on pi2 (seq):
- Write = 9.1mb/s
- Read = 15.5mb/s

The Sandisk ultra is probably the best card for your Raspberry Pi, unless your willing to spend £15 more on a Sandisk extreme for 4mb/s + write speed.
