Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as the commander of a DEA task force in this action thriller from director David Ayer. A close-knit group of DEA agents, led by John 'Breacher' Wharton (Schwarzenegger), raids a drug cartel safe house which results in the arrest of a major crime lord and the discovery of a large stash of money. When ten million dollars of the cash disappears the task force falls under suspicion and John realises one of his agents might be responsible. The cartel begin to kill off the team one by one and the situation becomes even more tense when John's family are kidnapped. Can he bring down the cartel and save his family? The cast also includes Sam Worthington, Olivia Williams, Mireille Enos, Josh Holloway and Joe Manganiello.
Enforcement Officer 'John 'Breacher' Wharton' (Arnie) leads a 'DEA' unit on a bust of a high profile Drug Cartels heavily guarded 'Safe' house. The team during the OP' try to take a cut of the pallet of money stashed within the property, however when they come to collect, it appears that they have been double-crossed. The OP' itself seemed to have been successful in closing the cartels operation down, however, there is a matter of Ten Million Dollars that has gone missing. The Team are closed down while an investigation is conducted by the agency, however after six months of drawing a blank, the team are reinstated. Members of the team start dying, violently, trust between the once close unit begins to fragment, they begin to suspect each other, could it be that the cartel are after them ? Meanwhile the police are conducting an investigation into the deaths of the team members led by 'Caroline' a Sergeant, she finds the remaining members of the team uncooperative, however she needs to find out what is going on. The big questions that remain unanswered include, Who's got the money ? Who's doing the killing ? It seems that 'John' needs to resolve the issues his way, will the Sergeant allow him the space to do so ? There are many good and often graphic action sequences along the way, as the film reaches it's conclusions a decent chase and gun-fight sequence and finally leading to the films bloody conclusion. The film should content the many 'Arnie' fans. Also among the cast - 'Sam Worthington' 'Terrence Howard' 'Kevin Vance' 'Olivia Williams' and 'Joe Manganiello'
Well worth a spin. Special Features - * Alternate Ending * Deleted Scenes * Making Sabotage
Another cracking film for big Arnie, a good storyline, and also good casting for the supporting actors. Virtually non stop action with more than one hidden agenda. More twists and turns than an Alton Towers rollercoaster. Highly watchable, superb ending.
A violent & often gory crime thriller.A DOA special operations team steal ten million dollars from a drug cartel, lead by John Whorton (Breacher). The raid on the safe house goes well but when they go to collect their "pay day",the money has gone. After a six month investigation the case is dropped & the team is reinstated but when members of the team start to be murdered, the investigation starts again, who's got the money & who's killing the team.
This is slightly too old & portly Arnie being even more unconvincing, luckily for him the woman who plays Lizzie is even worse.Dreadful acting & script which is held together by copious amounts of swearing. The plot is'nt that bad but not done at all well, overall very lame.
I really enjoy Arnold Schwarzenegger films (well action anyway not kids films), so I was really looking forwards to seeing this, but unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. A lot of swearing and no humour. Please make some more decent films Arnie.
I seen all my life mafia action movies since Charles Branson and chuck morris and this the one my friend this is the best movie ever done about narc and cartels with a twist best movie ever I spend a fortune to buy the limited edition and I sell my movie collection to buy this i already watched hundreds times people complain cuz violent maybe haven't seen ichi the killer yet. Buy now and watched over and over
Violence, blood, gore and a f***ing lots of f***ing swearing. Man, I lost count of how many times the word f**k is used in this. Probably more swearing than Eddie Murphy's Raw. Probably even more than me when I stub my f***ing toe. To be honest the bad f***ing language grates after a while, but f**k it, I still liked the film. It is a gratuitous and very violent film and goes a bit too far sometimes. On the front cover of the DVD it's makes reference to this being Schwarzenegger's most violent film. That's just immature to try and sell it on that alone. Its more immature than scanning the womens underware section in the Littlewoods catalogue and knocking one out when you can see the dark pube's through the white pants! The certificate of this film is only 15 and should be an 18 so be warned. I would not let a 15 year old watch this. Anyway I am not 15 so I can watch it and have done twice now and I really enjoyed it. Arnie puts in a good performance in something a little different that his usual heroic roles. He chomps on stogies as he shoots his way through the film, swears his f***ing head off and has some great lines throughout. His Crew are complete bell ends and not likeable in the slightest, even though we are surpossed to root for them. They are all sexiest, druken thugs and I was glad when the twats all get killed off. In particular, the ginger bitch in Arnies crew. She is horrible in every sense of the word. They are all cops for Christ sake, but they behave worse than an unemployed scrote on benefits who likes to chuck Special Brew down his neck. Just utter bollocks really.
The action scenes are spot on, it is well paced but there is one scene that will make you cringe. The female detective who seduces Arnie. Terrible, but at least we dont get to see them actually involved in their session of purple veined ram attack. The detective does not even like Arnie in the film so she must be a right slag just to drop her gruds and let him set about her Mott. Dirty, dirty bastards!. The ending of the movie is satisfying and there is good twist that is very fitting.
Sabotage is a great film and Arnie fans will love it. Its no Predator, Commando, Terminator or Total Recall, but it is a good role for Arnie at his age and he still can entertain us. I have been an Arnie fan for over 25 years and still get excited when ever he has a new film coming out. Like I said, it's a different type of role for the Oak, and will only please die hard Schwarzenegger fans.
So, sit back and enjoy this f***ing movie and leave the Littlewoods catalogue alone. This film is far better than stroking one off to a pair of pants.
