    I'm loving this for keeping crackers, lunch meats, cheeses, and smaller items fresh (excellent for keeping half an avocado). I don't like pulling out my larger unit all the time. This one is fast and easily at hand. I read some negative reviews and decided to try anyway at this price point. After a week or so, I thought it had stopped working, but I didn't realize that it's only a rechargeable unit, won't function plugged in w/no charge. All I had to do was recharge and it's still working fine. If an item is wet or juicy, it may start to pull juices in, so one needs to position bag to minimize that. I think one review said to try putting coffee filter by the vacuum opening. That helps to some extent. Also, have washed and reused the bags multiple times.

    I have a FoodSaver Sealer with hose attachment but the hose shattered a couple weeks after getting it (not from being rough, it's ultra cheap plastic). After fighting with FoodSaver for 5 months to get a replacement, I gave up. FoodSaver has TERRIBLE customer service. I was so annoyed as we bought $40 worth of the bags that work with this attachment, then recently my partner came across this device. While I didn't want to purchase another FoodSaver product, the red model went on a great deal, so I ordered it. This is such an amazing little device, works better than the hose and since my hose is partially broken, I plan to take another reviewers advice and alter the hose to fit this device so I can use it on my jar sealer.

    So, even though FoodSaver gave me the run-around for 5 months with no results I admit this is a fantastic device.
