I've just bought these headphones directly from B&W, and feel compelled to write a review, they are THAT good.
As some background, I commute to work on my bike/train, and have over the last few years tried numerous Bluetooth headphones, with a variety of sources. Commuting with a bike, on-and-off of trains makes wires inconvenient - but more on that later.
I started-off with the Sennheiser MM-400X, and progressed through to the MM-550X, but these two Bluetooth models just didn't 'cut the mustard' with regard to sound quality, even with and Apt-X source. I then gave-up temporarily on Bluetooth headsets because I was so underwhelmed, and started resorted to wired sets. My sources are the Sony WMZ-A15, NW-ZX100 and my Xperia Z5, all loaded with FLAC files. Firstly I tried Sennheiser Momentums Over-ear 2.0, fed by various Fiio portable amplifiers, and everything was OK for a while - UNTIL I heard the wired B&W P7's. When I purchased these headphones a year-or-so ago they literally changed my world, and I was in sonic heaven. I even preferred them at times to my Beyerdynamic T5P's (which are good, but over-rated IMO). I then decided to extract the best from the P7's and invested in a Chord Hugo, fed from my Sony players using Apt-X. Wow! This combination is absolutely perfect, and gives me studio-quality sound on the move, and really brings out the best from the P7's and the T5P's. But there was one problem on my commute, especially in the cold and the rain - the wires.
So, I tried again with Bluetooth headphones when the Sony MDR-1ABT's were released. And they were OK, for those cold, rainy days when carting the Hugo around was impractical. But they obviously couldn't touch the P7's for overall sound quality, and I thought that the Bluetooth method of signal transmission was to blame.

Frankly amazed at the quality of the sound these things produce. I agonized for hours over these or the Beoplay H9's and I'm so pleased I went with the P7's. They are a lot of money for a casual listener, but they look like they'll last. Only downside is I need to re-listen to the entire Radiohead back cat now as there's 'bits' I missed that are now clear !

At first I wasn't sure whether or not to splash out and get these headphones or go for the £100 cheaper Sony mdr100abn. Having gone to a store to try them out the difference in sound quality was huge with the Sony sounding more muddled and lacking the clarity and energy of the P7. The build quality and finish of these headphones are the best I've seen with a relatively simple but classy design. Something I struggled to find in any reviews was the quality of the mic as I wanted to use these for calls regularly but fortunately I've been told by those who I have called that the quality is clear. I'd highly recommend to anyone.

I have these and a pair of Shure 1540 headphones. Both great. The B&Ws have more bass and a sharper treble - so one would say they are more fun to listen to but a true audiophile may say they there is too much bass and treble which affects the overall cleanliness of the mids. Overall they compliment the Shures and I am happy with both for different situations. These headphones also work well as a headset on calls using my phone and laptop.

Great buy- spent ages trying to decide between these, Bose, b&o and Seinheister - but really happy with the decision.

I previously owned the wired version of the P7. So when I was in the market for a pair of wireless headphones, Bowers & Wilkins were a natural choice due to my past experience and how well I found the sound quality etc. And also this time around, I wanted to cut the cord. I purchased these from elsewhere as Amazon were out of stock, and I have not been paid to write this review.

I purchased the P7 wireless to use with my iPhone, iPad and also my Mac. I own the Bowers & Wilkins A7 Airplay speaker system and have been extremely impressed with not just the sound quality but also the design and build too. The sound quality of the A7 Airplay speaker system simply blew me away and I haven’t heard sound quality in that league before (and I’ve listened to many hifi systems over the years, many which cost in excess of £1500).

===The design===

First thing I will cover is the design of the P7 headphones. The craftsmanship, materials used in the build, and the design is stunning. The design is what I would call a retro look but at the same time very modern (if that makes sense). The headband, the earpads, and the outer side of the earcups are covered in sheepskin leather, which is beautifully soft. The earcup (the part that envelopes your ear) is extremely soft and padded and is also made of sheepskin leather. The headband is adjustable to accommodate various head sizes.

I’ve wore the P7’s for around 3 hours at a time and had no uncomfortableness at all (which is unusual for headphones). I would have to say the P7’s are the most comfortable headphones I’ve used (and I’ve had a few over the years). The isolation is very good, although not as good as a good sealing pair of in-ear earphones, but that’s to be expected as the P7’s don’t plug inside your ear canal.
