  • We recommend serving Penderyn neat, with a few drops of spring water or with ice.
  • At a generous 46% ABV, it introduces itself with sweet, aromatic smoke. Under this there are signature notes of vanilla, green apple and refreshing citrus.

penderyn is a favorite of mine it has been bought to life by the addition of the peated edition it still keeps its warmth but with a nice overtone that works well with a bit of water. go's well with steak.

I'm a big fan of Islay malts so was intrigued to try this whiskey. It has a more delicate flavour than most peat-style malts but I think that's actually a good thing. It is incredibly smooth with an almost sweet finish. This has become one of my favourite whiskies.

This has the peaty (TCP) taste it suggests but it tastes too thin and isn't complex enough.

Penderyn's non-peaty offerings are far better and the sherry finish or Legend is where I'd spend my money!

Unless you particularly want a peaty whisky that isn't as refined as the standard scotch offerings and costs more, then I'd give this one a miss.
