I have been drinking peppermint tea for years and tried many varieties. My favourite is Typhoo's which I buy for a very cheap price in a local discount store but they have stopped selling it and are now selling this PG tips one for 99p so the price on here for 4 boxes is a good price.

I don't tend to use bags with a string but I easily adapted to these. Be careful as you pull the string off the pyramid as it does stick a little. I have always left my tea bag in the cup and I leave it to brew for at least five minutes. I don't take the bag out once brewed and before drinking because I feel this way you get a really good minty taste but leaving the bag in is not for everyone! I never add milk etc. Just boiling water.

Peppermint is known to aid digestion and for me, this really works. I drink at least 5 cups a day and it definitely aids digestion. I am pleased with this flavour, it's on a par with the Typhoo one.

The first thing you notice about these one-cup pyramid bags is they're surprisingly not that minty - it's more of a very slight aftertaste akin to the fresh mouth feeling you get after brushing your teeth, though nowhere near as strong. Well, actually that's not quite right - the first thing you notice is the offputtingly weak colour of the brew, and even enthusiastic stirring won't change that much or strengthen the taste. If you're drinking it with milk, it just looks a bit like the colour of a Murray Mint, which isn't the most appealing of looks for a cuppa. Frankly it doesn't seem to make much difference whether you drink it with milk or without - either way it's still a very weak brew. The bags themselves aren't as well constructed as they could be, so you'll have to be careful taking the string off before dunking them to avoid tearing the bag.

File under an interesting experiment but definitely not my cup of tea.

I found this tea to be a very pleasant change from "normal" tea - refreshing, light and with a good aftertatste too.
The PG tips version of peppermint tea is not as overpowering as some of the other brands of peppermint tea, and for fans of a stong peppermint taste, this may cause some disappointment. However, as someone who is not a regualr drinker of green teas this was a pleasant change without being too overpowering. As with regualr PG tips, the tea is served in pyramid teabags which allow the leaves more space to brew giving a better taste.

I will be buying these again, its a very nice change from "normal" PG tips

Some peppermint teas have a slight taste of 'grass' about them in my opinion, so I was delighted to find this one nice and minty. Perfect for a soothing cuppa anytime. I'd advise steeping for 2-3 minutes for optimum flavour. Delicious.

As with anything like this its a matter of an individuals taste buds so my opinion will no doubt differ to some but here goes anyway with my findings.
First off this is very refreshing and the peppermint is undeniably present. It can be a little sickly after a while but that may be due to my personal preference of leaving the bag in the cup for a stronger taste.... Maybe thats my own fault ha ha.
I find this a very good detox for a hangover if you have consumed a lot of alcohol the night before and have indigestion or reflux this is a very efficient cure for me and makes any burps a lot more platable due to the mint flavour too.
I also like this for cold and flu feelings especially blocked nose or sinus issues.
It also helps me with any mild stomach irritations and I find if I drink this at night I get a better nights sleep too.
This is my first dabble with peppermint tea as I usually drink regular green tea but I have to say the taste and the benefits have won me over and I will definitely be re-purchasing this once the box is empty.

As Self.com taught me "tea leaves contain flavonoids which are naturally occurring phytochemicals that have antioxidant properties. Antioxidants prevent free radical damage in your body which is thought to be the cause of many chronic diseases. The health benefits associated with drinking tea are numerous. So far we know that regular tea consumption may lower your blood pressure and LDL cholesterol, which can reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke. It may also reduce your risk of certain canters (rectal, colon, skin) and is thought to aid in good oral and bone health. On top of all of that, it seems to support at healthy immune system and prevent neurological decline".

Sounds great but the thing is that I'm not over keen with the taste of tea, so I've been testing loads of varieties over the years & wanted to try this product as green tea is meant to taste different. Taste wise: this is the best blend of tea I've ever tried. Over the years I've tried black tea, white tea, green tea, fruit blends and herbal blends, but have never found anything else so pleasant. It's sweet enough not to need any sugar adding, but at the same time isn't overly sweet and sickening. The soft mint gives the tea an added zing, but isn't cold or overpoweringly 'fresh'.

I also went all Myth Blusters and compered the triangle teabag against a regular square one, and yes, this product's shape did result in the tea steeping faster and with more flavour coming through. So that's a plus point, minus the lack of difference to the flavour.
