Product description

Product Description

Charlie Sheen plays successful jingle writer and full-time hedonist Charlie Harper in the dysfunctional family sitcom Two and a Half Men. Charlie's wild ways are abruptly curtailed when his younger brother Alan undergoes a messy marital separation and moves into Charlie's home. Alan has partial custody of his son Jake, so the boy sometimes lives with the men. The brothers' lives are further complicated by their manipulative mother and a lovestruck stalker who is after Charlie.

Synopsis

For six seasons, Charlie Harper has loved ’em and left ’em. In Season 7, he gets left. TV’s #1 comedy pulls a hilarious switcheroo when Charlie’s fiancée Chelsea meets a doctor (score one) who’s generous, thoughtful and mature (score three more). She vamooses, and Charlie – after pickling himself in booze and self-pity – handles the situation in typical Charlie fashion. Which means lots of laughs for Men fans. But Charlie isn’t the only Harper making cement-headed decisions. Alan decides the only thing that separates him from a love god is hair. So he tries the spray-on variety. And Jake decides what he needs to navigate the perilous waters of teenage dating is advice. From Charlie.

Two & a Half Men.

I have every series 1 to 7. 1 to 5 were great. 6 was disappointing 7 is appalling!

Until 6 it was a funny sexy series. The entry of the Chelsea character in 6 was a disaster!

Nevertheless I bought 7. What a fool I was! The entire series 7 is dominated by the Chelsea character,
no doubt it isn't the actress's fault but the character is about as sexy as cold fish and chips, and
she isn't even funny!

The Alan character is more annoyingly pathetic than ever and no longer funny!

The repeated 'joke' from earlier series of Alan hiding his girl friend
in Charlie's house was especially appalling because in earlier series
his girlfriend Kandi, was very funny and very sexy, his girl friend in
7 is neither.

The opportunity to exploit the Jake character's teenage years was wasted,
why the actor was put up with it is beyond me.

Under no circumstances will I buy series 8.

As always I have been waitting for the new Season of Two and a Half men to get out on Dvd for quite a while. I must admit it was not as strong as the previous seasons but still very funny. Charlie, Alan and Jake are very funny as always, as are the usual suspects of the show (Berta, Evelyn etc).
So in this season Charlie finds himself in a commited relationship with Chelsea and deals with all the tempations his previous lifestyle has to offer. Alan is still the sponge he's always been, taking the definition of "sponge" to new levels every time. Finally Jake... he is growing... size wise but as for his goofyness... well we all know he's not the sharpest pencil... In the words of Alan "He is my son and I must love him".
All in all a very enjoyable season. Bring on the next one. 4*

I am a little amazed that this sitcom is still worth seeing but it actually is, I would've thought that the script writers had covered every piece of ground possible by now but it still works. The humour is still strong although bordering on unpleasantly sadistic from time to time and not as clever as you are used to, we'll see how the Sheen meltdown ends but apart from that, I am eagerly awaiting season 8.

Hy folks,

first at all the seventh season is great as it always was.
And with Jake becoming a teenager it gets better and better. =)

Besides of that you should know how lucky you are...
Actually I wanted to wait until the seventh season will be released in Germany.

But I saw it on amazon uk being released more than two months earlier.
Also it is the complete season (in Germany there will be two parts, the
first one right in time for christmas) and it costs less than the half of
the price in Germany...

And know enjoy the new season on DVD, it's a MUST HAVE ;)

I keep expecting the quality of this to nosedive, especially as Charlies circumstances have changed now he is in a commited relationship. The writing remains strong and they haven't resorted to filling the show with meaningless celeb cameos like many shows do in their later stages, though there are still one or two added for interest.
Chelsea is a great edition to the show as was Melissa for the time she was in it. There is less Bertha and Evelyn in this series but that is no bad thing as they don't seem to have anything interesting for them to do at the moment.
Keep up the good work guys!

I was surprised to find that season 7 was actually one of the funniest so far. I had noticed that as Jake got older, a lot of the jokes weren't as funny anymore, but I think they must have really worked out how to use Jake's character this season. Alan and Charlie are hilarious and I actually audibly "LOL"'d. Sadly, though, the end of the season didn't have any kind of climax as they generally do and I found myself looking for another disc. A little disappointing, but generally great!
