Product Description

San Francisco cops Ray Nettles (Tom Sizemore) and Fuzzy Rice (Nas) find themselves pushed to the limit when a ruthless terrorist named Swan (Dennis Hopper) starts detonating devices around the city. Their luck seems to turn when they arrest one of Swan's associates, Claire Manning (Jaime Pressly), but the bomber only threatens to set off more explosions unless she is released. With the future of San Franciso hanging in the balance, Nettles and Fuzzy must now team up with cooler-than-cool explosives expert Glass (Steven Seagal) and race to find the terrorists before the zero hour arrives.

One of the worst films I've ever seen.
The only redeeming feature of this film was going to be the fight scenes, so why were they shot in the dark with only close-ups of Segals face!!!?
And the end, what a load of rubbish. As if he would start having a phiosophical debate with a guy who's trying to defuse a bomb about to go off.
Absolute rubbish. I just cant believe the other reviewers gave it more than 1 star (there's not a no star option which is a pity)

Well this film has steven seagal and dennis hopper in it, you could be fooled into thinking you were going to be seeing a good film, however you wont be. Saying that though, having read other reviews of the film mine is a consitent opinion, however i thought it was watchable, just! At times, the now over weight Steve S seems awkward doing his infamous martial arts,at times in the fight scenes it appears it may not even be him becuase of the dodgy filming its hard to make it out. however some of the fight scenes are quite good, and there are a few explosions, hopper has a similar role to his role in speed, a mad bomber n Steve S et al have to stop him, thats the basic plot, this film is ok, i would reccommend it Seagal fans

I laughed from minute to end. The film starts with a siege between baddies and cops and of course out of no where every single cop car explodes, even one that's derelict and about 1 mile from the first explosion.
Seagal is a bomb expert and is now put to the test against Dennis Hopper who is kindly planting bombs around the city.
Seagal joins forces with the cops and chases this bomber. However...suddenly out of no where the cops and Seagal move into a large building which has a bomb in it. Seagal being the bomb expert decides to hack at his oponents with his fists, showing his martial arts expertise as a bomb expert. After much poor acting and showing off Seagal walks to the top of the building. He then can't be bothered to disarm a bomb on the bottom floor. Giving instructions to a cop, Seagal tells him to disarm it which takes about 5 seconds.
All in all totally ridiculous. Seagal, a bomb expert knows martial arts, can't disarm anything and towards the end of the film starts philosophising about nothing.
So if your a Seagal fan you will definately have action and Seagal damaging more bodies than Jackie Chan.
As for the DVD its pretty pathetic with no bonus material.

This is truly the worst Steven Seagal film I ever seen and lets face it, he's made some real turkey's! The acting is so bad that it's almost embarassing to watch these guys struggle along with no plot, no direction and no purpose in life. Seagal looks flabby and tired - fight scenes showing his face in close-up, rather than focusing on any real action, do nothing to disguise the fact that Steven can't kick ass the way he used to. Tom Sizemore (who has a 50/50 split of good and bads films to his credit) is just wasted in this film. Do these actors really need the work that badly? Or do they only read the script halfway through, and hope it will get better towards the end? Well, it doesn't so don't waste your money buying this film, you'll only be disappointed.

Don't be fooled by the obvious talent that appear in this film, Dennis Hopper and Steven Seagal. As neither of them reach there true ability, Hopper spends the film with a dodgy irish accent and Seagal doesn't seem to know if hes a sarcastic bomb squad member or a caring cop. The film never gets out of first gear until the last fifteen or so minutes and by then its too late. Overall the acting could of been better, and the story line was a bit lame, don't worry I wont ruin it for you! Will never manage to be a classic.

This film is bad the only reason I gave it two stars is because it has tom sizemore in it,and as bad as the film is he does try his best to make some good of it.The plot was lame and so was the directing.Director Albert Pyun hasn't made a film since this one, lets hope it stays that way.Steven segal is just a chubby old has-been who can't act and certainly can't fight.Every time he fought in this movie you never saw his face and the camera was always shoulder height looking at the back of his head.Another thing that bothered me about the movie and about segal was the way he tried to talk all mystical to tom sizemore while he was disarming the bomb at the end.I think segal has it written in his contract that he has to spout buddhist nonsense at least a few times in his movies.Avoid this movie like the plague!

Filmed in just 12 days, Ticker is a cheap and shoddy effort. It's filled with scenes taken from other Nu Image movies and is an incoherent mess as you would expect. Many dialogue scenes are shot in extreme close up for no reason, Steven Seagal spends most of his time sitting behind a desk in an office and the special effects are rubbish - check out the poor green screen work in the car scenes.

Even for Seagal fans, there's no reason to buy this cheap rubbish.

I am a big fan of Steven Segal and was looking forward to the movie. I settled down, with my chocolate, and waited for the action. I was in for a disappointment. The film was lacking in action, although the story line was ok. I watch most of my films several times, but this is one that will gather dust on the DVD rack. Don't let me put anyone off though, as this is my personnel experience.
