Be Warned...

The only thing 're-mastered' about this dvd, is the new cover.

If you have the original Treble dvd, don't waste your money on this identical replica.
(If you haven't already got it, then consider this to be a 4-star review, as it's got it all there, even though it's presented less impressively than it deserves).

Bad Points:
A) The format is the old 'square' 4x3, not widescreen (that could easily have been fixed when they 're-mastered' the cover sleeve).
B) The video footage quality is 'poor'!!! (Other dvd's with 1999 footage on, is far superior in quality... maybe they hooked up two VCR's with Scart sockets, to transfer the footage... when they 're-mastered' the new cover).
C) It has Rob McCaffrey's 'fake-commentary' splattered throughout... (I'm sure clued-up footy fans will understand... ie: 'pass the sick bucket')

A very poor tribute overall, particularly considering the wealth of truly amazing footage available to the editors.

For those who don't own the dvd Version 1: Yes, buy it (it's worth £6 or £7 quid; and far more, if the editor had been competant)
For those who DO own the dvd Version 1: Don't waste your money, this re-issue is an attemp to cheat you with the words 'Re-Mastered'

Ladies and Gentleman. If you have not yet brought yourself a football year review on DVD yet, then you have been missing out on a great way to watch replay football action.
Why?
With DVD technolgy you are able to jump to see the highlights of the match that you want to see. Beats Fast Forward and Rewind on a VHS. What about the freeze frame? Well with DVD you can see the full picture when you pasuse the action. This DVD is indexed in an easy way with Permership Games, FA Cup Games and UFEA Games listed for you to jump to.
Of course you can watch the whole DVD from Start to finish and it is a great history review of the season for 1998 - 1999.
Manchester United had one of their best seasons ever and you can see this magic again on this DVD. Remember that ace Goal of Ryan Giggs against Arsenal? Well you can replay that moment time and time again. Or how about the last few minutes of extra time in the Final for the UEFA Championship? Again you can re-live it.
Buy and Enjoy, I did !

WHAT A SEASON!! So much drama what with great goals, sendings offs, and of course combacks this is a must have for any true united fan.
The video contains interviews with players Roy Keane, Teddy Sheringham, and David Beckham, as well as new boys Jesper Blomqviest, Jaap Stam, and of course Dwight Yorke. It also has interviews with Manager Sir Alex Ferguson, and of course the outgoing legend, great dane Peter Schmeichel.
The video contains every goal from every match of the 1998/1999 season, as well as all the drama including the F.A cup match against Liverpool, the 8-1 mauling of Nottingham Forest, the two incredible 3-3 draws with Barcalona, and the amazing F.A cup replay against Arsenal including THAT goal by Ryan Giggs. Viera whoa, Viera whoa, he gave Giggsy the ball, and Arsenal won f**k all!! Oh, and of course the small matter of the European cup final against Bayern Munich, in what was undoubtedly the greatest comeback of all time. I had to rewind the tape again just to see the looks on Sami Kuffor and Lothar Mathaas' faces after Ole's last gasp wonder goal. Classic. You could not have written the script for that match, let alone the season.
An amazing season in which records were shattered, and United won the treble, and became champions of Europe again!

You couldn't write an more incredible story if you were a Roy of the Rovers comic book author. Fate and some brilliant football take equal credit for the Reds' fantastic achievements 1998/99 season. The great goals on their own make it a good watch but the best thing about the nostalgia of that season for ManU fans is the nail-biting, cliff hanging moments when it could all have gone so wrong - the Giggs semi-final when Keano was sent off and Arsenal were awarded a penalty, the final decisive league game when Les Ferdinand got a flukey goal to put Spurs in the lead, the disasters and comebacks in Europe, and ultimately - the famous injury time drama in the Champions League final against Bayern. This is why English Premiership football is the most exiting in the world. Brilliant entertainment for neutral fans and a must have video for Man Utd fans to watch in the seasons when we don't win anything.

this is probablly uniteds best season in their history although i thought that in the 99/00 season they had a more experienced sqad with the fabulous Mark Bosnich in goal.
people will probablly disagree with that but it's what i think.
i think this dvd is a good one because of all the highlights and goals including the SAS 'sheringham and Solskjaer'.
you can keep watching it over and over again to relive the best minute in uniteds career. i think that the dvd should have put more highlights in instead of just showing all the goals and no saves by peter schmeichel.
if you are a united fan i would reccommend this dvd to you.
