Totally brilliant film. Kudos to Alex Chandon for making this classic British film.
It's a laugh a minute (I'm not sure it's supposed to be).
The wimmin in it are hot and there are a plethora of babes.
Dani Filth is pretty good, he doesn't say much but he plays the part well with gusto.
The best character is the detective Pete who is completely foulmouthed even to his boss. Every word is B***** C*** and F***.
The guy who plays his son is good and the idea of a website like the sick room is very original and creative. Typical of good badly made films is that they will come up with ideas which Hollywood couldn't in a million years.
There is some good bad stuff in this :
The girls who kill the old man have a bath to wash off the blood but Emma tells Sophie she told her sister about the murder. How?!
The hobo that Nick runs over in his Porsche is wearing designer clothes?!
Nick cuts of the leg of a guy who is at least 6 inches smaller than him?!
Kimber the insane psycho is the son of "Anthony Crawley" - a funny little in joke?!
Pete the gutter mouth's son Richard works in an office but has an expensive house and the scene where he leaves and the house is sold, it's a different house!!?
There is lots of puking in the film, which i find funny.
The gore & special effects are well done.
The soundtrack is good.
There is a little dwarf guy in it.
It's from Windows 98 time...2001.

If you are into Bad films then Cradle of Fear is a must.
Highly Recommended and very funny.!! Good British film with gothic babes.

Well, where to start? I saw this was coming on the Horror channel and looked up the reviews written here.
They were not re-assuring. However, it was late at night and there was sod all else on so I gave it a go, thinking
I'd probably switch off before the end.I didn't! Although agreeing with a lot of the comments posted here, I was
still entertained enough to watch the whole thing. If you're looking for a good story, forget it. It's really about 5 stories very tenuously linked together.(I couldn't find a link at ALL with one of them) I was reminded of the old series "Hammer House of Horror" but with the gore content multiplied to the Nth degree. The story about The Sick Room was quite excellent, very original, and I can well see some other director cashing in on this theme and building a whole film around it.

The violence and gore is certainly OTT to the point of being hilarious, but I don't think the director intended it this way. Unlike others, I found the acting to be perfectly acceptable, but don't get this whole thing with Dani Filth. Is he supposed to be scary? For me, he looks like a transvestite with a very bad wardrobe sense. Or Michael Jackson on speed! You know you're in trouble when the scary villain is prettier than the other females in the film, regardless of all the bare boobs on show.

All in all, I found this to be reasonably entertaining and not a waste of TV time. I wont be buying it, but if it comes up again on Horror Channel (and it will!) then take a look yourselves.

This is one of the worst horror films I've seen in a long time. It seems to be shot on a handheld video camera, the script is awful and the story, such as it is, difficult to follow. At some points it's about strange monsters, then some other murders, then the monsters come back, then it's about odd porno stuff. All the women seem to be played by the same actress, because obviously the black hair and red lipstick is a must and it's all breasts out for the lads and some kinky sex with huge amounts of blood and gore and more effing and blinding than makes sense.

I agree with a previous reviewer that it's only redeeming feature is that it's so bad it's funny. The acting is risible. It's not so much terrifying as sick in the extreme. It makes Saw look like an Oscar Winner.

It might be based on some kind of anthology, but the point is it should hang together. At this point it's just a coagulation of badly put together stories that go on way too long without going anywhere you want to go. The only other good point is I was intrigued by just how bad it was so stayed with it until the end, but I can think of better thngs I could have done with a couple of hours of my life.

The film isn't really for horror fans but if you like a good laugh then this film is for you. I bought it and i just couldn't stop laughing at how bad this movie is. It was a big let down.

Do you wonder why this DVD can be bought for as little as 1p? It's because it is so bad. I bought this because I admire Emily Booth (Bouffante in the credits here) but this film has the look of a cheap video. There is plenty of blood and gore but the acting is terrible (laughable) and the plot seems to go all over the place. On the credit side, I liked the concept of the Sick Room and I actually get the impression that the writers could have made this the core of the film. They missed a great opportunity. There's also a very attractive naked lady taking a shower but even so this is a terrible film. If you must see it then get some beer in first.
