E Prance sent a new disk but this also has a background Trojan tracking virus and virus checker stopped loading of programme.
Have found a suitable program on the net (DATAKAM PLAYER) that is virus free.
To sum up Good Camera Good Pictures but Dodgy software.
this needs addressing.
This is the only cam I've tried that has good quality video at night, something most dash cams just fail! The device does come with a broken english manual - but the support from the seller is second to none - highly recommended for the after support I have received!
The device supports all the usual features you'd expect - a surprise for me was when you start the car the camera will power on itself and start recording, and then after a delay will shut down when you turn off the engine! There is a GPS module - but like others I struggled to get this to work, and the software on the disc I would avoid and instead buy a cheap Micro SD card reader to watch back your video footage.
The rear view camera is a very clever idea - and after some wiring, it works very well! Hardly 1080p HD quality, but it reads the number plate of the vehicle behind you if the were to get too close for comfort! The front camera is genuine 1080p quality and provides a very smooth playback. A Class 10 SD card is I would say a must though, these cards offer a faster read and write speed, something you need when you have two cameras providing video.
The internal clock doesn't seem to keep time well - it looses a couple of minutes in 10 hours ... this means there is a time gap in recordings when GPS lock is acquired and the clock gets corrected.
The camera clams 140 degrees vision ... but it is noticeably narrower on the 1080P setting compared to VGA or 720P ... maybe a software update would fix that (came with 2014-09 software)
It seems to stop recording when at traffic lights - but that could be because the motion detection was on (as supplied) and there was no motion, I suspect the motion detection also defeats the auto shut-off timer that should countdown once when the power is removed.
The connectors all stick out of the right side if the main unit - only the top one (rear camera) has a sensible right angle connector, the others stick straight out of the side of the camera - by the way the camera is made (no swivel lens) - this means in my case they obscure part of the rear view mirror - it would be nice to mount it elsewhere but it would be in the way of the sun shades.
Dislike all the brightwork - to my mind, the unit should be all matt black so it's less obvious.
