4.0 out of 5 stars you're so rank, you probably try to lick your own skank 29 Sept. 2005
By loctgruv - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This is by far not as essential as Accelerator, Thank You, or Cats and Dogs but the deep funky grooves of "The Juside game" and especially "On my Mind", with the interplay between Neil and Jennifer's voices, really take the Trux into this sort of dub phase that works quite well. "Dirty headlines" is so freakin cool! There's this sort of stream of consciousness thing going on over this deep, trippy, dubby soundscape. We get treated to the ultra classic trux line, "You're so rank you probably tried to lick your own skank." If you really like the Trux, check it out. If you want to get to know the Trux, start with Cats and Dogs, and check out everything afterwards. There are so many golden chestnuts within their body of work. Sleaze rock at its finest.
