This is the second of Rosie Lewis' books I have read. I recently read her latest one, 'Taken', having won a copy in a Goodreads Giveaway. That one was excellent and so I was very interested to read more about Rosie's foster carer tales. Again, despite the sometimes hard circumstances, this was a quick and easy read. Well-written and, although I thought her most recent memoir was even better than this one, this one was still well worth reading. Many ups and downs for Rosie and her family but it must be so rewarding seeing the change in the children that spend time being cared for by this lady. Inspirational and informative.

A sad story about three troubled children that are bought into Rosie's care. An interesting insight into the world of social work and care.

This book was thought provoking, touching, saddening and the ending made me happy - a bit of a rollercoaster ride but well worth a read. The story is quite harrowing to a degree but what makes it worse is that this is probably happening in homes all over the UK and we know nothing about it. This is the first book that I have read by Rosie Lewis and it won't be my last. I loved her style of writing and want to know about more of what she has experienced - a very good read and my first venture in to autobiographical fiction.
