You really don't need to be particularly interested in camping to enjoy the story and to share in Chris's entertaining travel experiences; you also certainly don't need to be male - I chuckled at it every bit as much as my husband did as there is plenty for everyone to relate to !
I also found that it was a considerably more educational read than I had been anticipating and there is much to interest those who wish to learn. I have to say that my husband and I have even discussed the possibility of trying to follow in the author's footsteps and taking the same journey !
I would recommend this book to anyone and I very much look forward to reading about Mr Lown's further travels ...
I hope there is more to come.
Thanks for a very enjoyable two days curled up reading it.
When are you heading to Cape Town? (Look up Lizzybus, a remarkable road trip but could have your writing skills to make an epic story)

Good fun and easy reading, educational as well on the subject of one man tents, German beers and little known cheeses.Published 22 days ago by Amazon Customer
What a splendid book. I loved the author's turn of phrases and descriptive powers, in fact I felt like I was on the trip with him. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Jools Baker
Absolutely loved this intelligent, well-written and engaging book. I had been reading several "heavy" history books and this was the perfect easy and beguiling antidote.Published 5 months ago by charlie

I just couldn't get into this at all. It just seemed like a rather tedious ramble of daily life in one fairly dull household so I'm afraid I gave up.Published 9 months ago by Kaydee
