Recieved this book yesterday. Was a bit sceptical about it, another Sorolla book? But being a Sorolla fan I could not resist buying it, believe me no regrets at all. Beautiful paintings, some of which I had never seen before. As for the text, never tired of reading new things about this great artist. If you're an artist, who like me, studies light in your work, then this is another book which deserves to be in your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Necessary Part of Your Art Library 4 Jun. 2016
By L. D. Wellings - Published on Amazon.com

Another great volume on a master painter. The illustrations are color corrected and well sized. Compares favorably to the previous volume by the author, 'Sorolla the Masterworks' and has additional paintings illustrated. The small sketches from 1900 to a few years before his death are particularly instructive in his technique.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Sorolla Book 18 May 2017
By Hardy Jones - Published on Amazon.com

I'm a huge Sorolla fan so this book was perfect for me. if you're not likewise enamored then it might not suit you. ...Paris Years has wonderful color reproductions of many of his works and the information on how he grew to prominence in the late 19th and early 20th centuries was interesting. I missed the Sorolla exhibition at Giverny last fall due to a hurricane that hit my home town. The book hardly makes up for missing that event but I'll take what I can get. It's good to see that this master is getting some attention again.
