About the Author

Born and raised in New England, Christa is a married mother of three. After taking a very long break from reading a friend encouraged her to read the FSOG series over the summer. Of course like every woman on the planet, she fell in love with the series. This led her to read several other Erotic Romance novels. Her world really took a crazy turn when she met a bunch of women on Facebook Group who also shared the same love of "Smutty" books. She began writing her first book Broken in October 2012, as a love story to her husband. Christa kept her book a secret from all of her "real" Facebook family and friends, including her mother, revealing on her personal page that she had written a book two weeks before the release of Broken. Broken was released in February 2013, within twenty-four hours of its release it was on Amazon's Movers and Shakers list as well as being in the Top 20 Erotica. She is currently working on her second novel titled "On the Ropes" which will be released February 2014 and "Going the Distance" being released late spring/early summer 2014. Several other novels are also in the works.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fall in love with "The Saint" 22 Sept. 2015

On the ropes by Christa Cervone-A down for the count series novel-book 1

A heartfelt and passionate look into Gabriel "The Saint" Vega's life as a Boxer, Brother, friend and lover. I enjoyed this novel, it was fast paced, interesting, sexy and serious at times.

The characters were great, they had great depth. I really liked Gabriel as I got to know him better. Frankie his manager, what a character. His friend Jimmy/loyal, his brother Jason, you really felt for him and his situation. And Salem, she was awesome. Blaine, what a jerk.

All in all I give On the ropes 4 stars and can't wait to follow up with book 2 Going the distance.

I read Christa Cervone's first book Broken and was an instant fan. After reading this book On The Ropes, which I finished in 2 days I can say that her writing career will be long lasting. I wait with anticipation for the sequel Going the Distance. She has a way of making you fall in love with her characters.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!!! 27 Sept. 2016

This book was given to me in lieu of an honest review.  This book starts out with a young Gabriel and his little brother Jase they have had a rough life and it is about to get worse. They are split up and sent to separate foster homes.  Gabriel gets in trouble and is given a second chance to change his life OR end up in jail.  Frankie takes him in and teaches him boxing.  He's doing the bachelor thing and one night stands. Training for fights at his gym, Frankie tells him Blaine wants to sponsor him.  He meets Blaine and his girlfriend Salem, both grew up with money.  Salem and Gabriel "Saint" Vega clash right away. Gabriel wants her as a conquest and nothing more and Salem doesn’t give him the time of day.  Events occur that Gabriel helps Salem out with and then after a bet she agrees to go to dinner with Gabriel. While they are at Gabriel's home town they run into Jason, Gabe's little brother.  Gabriel and Salem want to help Jase.  Jase ends up getting in trouble and also gets offered a second chance.  There are characters you will love and some you will hate.  You will laugh, cry, get angry, and love the story being told! There is also a lot of boxing terms that if you don't know anything about boxing will explain different terms associated in the boxing world.  Does things look up for the Vega boys? Do Salem and Blaine get married? Or does a relationship work out for Salem and Gabriel? This book was hard to put down and a great read!!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully written and keeps you wanting more! 15 Jun. 2015

Gabriel "The Saint" Vega grew up in rough part of town. After his father murders his mother him and his brother are put into separate foster homes. Over time they lose track of each other. Gabriel is lucky enough to have Frankie step up and help him get himself of the right track. Now an up and coming boxer Gabriel is focused on living his life to his fullest. Women, fame, and hopefully one day fortune are what his life is. Oh and let not forget the partying. With a big match coming up Blaine shows up wanting to sponsor him and have him working out at his new gym. Frankie tells Gabriel to do it and he has never led her wrong so he goes for it. Only problem the redheaded vixen Blaine calls his girlfriend, Salem. Both Gabriel and Salem are hardheaded people. Can they stop spitting at each other long enough for their attraction to explode?

First thing I am glad this didn't end in a cliff hanger per say. If you really don't enjoy it you could walk away after the book and be okay with it. I find a lot of times I read a book and I find it mediocre and it isn't until the last 2 chapter I'm left no choice but to get the next one because I have to know what happens. I was very into this book from start to end and look forward to seeing what happens next. Between the relationship of Saint and Salem and Saint and his brother Jase I'm super excited. Christa wrote some amazing characters who have awesome characteristics that draw you in. Not to mention what is going on with Frankie. There is so mystery underlying there. I hope to see more of Salem and Jolene's relationship because Jolene had me hysterical at her points. Wonderfully written and keeps you wanting more!
