From the Inside Flap

The thrilling, shocking and romantic sequel to the bestselling YA debut FLAWED is finally here. When we embrace all our flaws, that's when we can finally become PERFECT...

Celestine North lives in a society that demands perfection. After she was branded Flawed by a morality court, Celestine's life has completely fractured - all her freedoms gone.

Since Judge Crevan has declared her the number one threat to the public, she has been a ghost, on the run with the complicated, powerfully attractive Carrick, the only person she can trust. But Celestine has a secret - one that could bring the entire Flawed system crumbling to the ground.

Judge Crevan is gaining the upper hand, and time is running out for Celestine. With tensions building, Celestine must make a choice: save only herself, or risk her life to save all the Flawed. And, most important of all, can she prove that to be human in itself is to be Flawed...? --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

***I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book for my honest review & I thank the publishers Harper Collins NZ***

Celestine is the most flawed person in Humming, but as she hides from the whistleblowers and Judge Crevan she doesn't know who to trust.
But it seems that the population is unhappy, but scared to act against the Guild in fear that they too may be deemed 'Flawed'.
I found this book hard to put down, it's faster paced than book one, and Celestine is finding that she has more courage than she thought.

Not only is this book a good story, the underlying message that it gives the reader is a prompt to look within yourself and see how you would fare if you lived in Celestine's world. How would I have reacted, would I have ignored the injustice that happened on that bus? Or would I have stood up for what I believed was right?

Celestine made her choice in book one, and in this book, she is living with the consequences and dealing with being on the run from the system who now realise that she could bring them all down.

Those who offer to help her, have their own agenda, the task of just surviving seems impossible, will Celestine not only survive, but bring about the end of an unjust regime?

I suggest you buy this book and see for yourself.

The ending was brilliant, the tension built and Ms. Ahern kept it going until the end. The last chapter I would love to quote, as it is a good one to remember - but I don't do spoiler reviews, so I will just keep it in my heart for when I need a pep talk.

I longed for this book to come out for ages as a follow up to Flawed.
When I read Flawed I was surprised that it came under young adult as I felt it was an little older than young adult. This book however was quite simply written and came under young adult for sure.
I found the book somewhat lacking in depth and emotion compared to her other books. The story was ok but personally for me what i thought could have been an absolute cracker was a bit of a damp squib.

While this is a sequel and I did read the first book flawed, Cecelia Ahern has written it in such a way that if you read this without having read the first book you've not at a loss as she re-creates parts of book 1 in this book too.

This was a great follow on where we get to see more about the lovely Celestine North and her life as a "flawed" member of society.

Interesting idea of a big brother like system, enjoyable reads with a few twists. Ending is somewhat predictable and neat, but that isn't a problem for me! Characters a bit one dimensional, but good pace and kept me coming back for more. If you like a good heroine story with a twist, this is probably one for you.

I rarely write reviews but felt this needed one. Considering its marketed to young adults, and I'm 44, both books kept me captivAted and riveted to the end. Well written, thought provoking, and unable to put it down until it's finished.

This morning I started and finished reading Perfect by Cecelia Ahern. It is the book that follows Flawed, a story about Celestine North, a young lady who lives in a society that literally brands people morally flawed. She is branded flawed by helping an elderly man on a bus, a man who just happened to be flawed. The usual cost of aiding a Flawed is a prison sentence, however because she refused to accept that she had been morally wrong to do what she did that fateful day on the bus, Celestine is branded flawed.

From that moment her life is tuned upside down, society judges her and Celestine knows that her life will never be the same again. She isn't allowed luxuries, she has a curfew, she has to report to her own personally Whistle Blower, the one who checks she is living the life of a Flawed amongst her family. But that all comes to an end when she runs.

Celestine has a long journey ahead of her, and it is a not an easy one. The Whistle Blowers are after her, the Judge that branded her is after her, she is the most wanted person and most recognised young lady around. But all of that running and hide ends up being worth it. In the end she confronts society, the whole Flawed process is abolished, and she gets her happy ever after.

The book is well written, with great description and plenty to keep you hooked and entertained. While I managed to read it in a few hours on the Kindle (curtesy of NetGalley) it was well worth shutting out the world for. I will be looking for to more books from Cecelia Ahern in the future.

If you like a book that gets you thinking, especially about society and morals, then give this book a chance.

The follow on book to Flawed, which is actually a YA book but is a brilliant book for any age. I'm not going to say a lot about the actually story as i feel anything i say could amount to spoilers.. Suffice to say, i have been counting down the days to this book and was not disappointed at all.
This book can be a stand alone but reading flawed before hand will make this story amazing. Both books had me on the edge of my seat to the final page and the final book was literally perfect! I could not recommend this book enough. It would give insights to life to the young and advise to the older. It has amazing characters with such endurance they should be hero's.
Cecelia Ahern gets back her sparkle with these books and brings back the story telling she started with in her fiction books. You will not be disappointed with this book!
