I have been waiting ages for this to arrive. When it finally did i found it impossible to put down. The style of writing by Amy is so enthralling it is impossible to believe that this is her debut book. The talent is just so obvious there can be no doubt that she has a huge future in front of her. Anyone reading this and wanting to have similar experiences should go get their ticket immediately and follow in Amy's footsteps knowing full well what to expect. If they have half the fun that Amy did they will remember it for the rest of their lives. Perhaps Miss Adventures will become a very enjoyable TV series in due course it is that good.

Superb. Amy Baker is a talented writer and, unusually, is totally honest about her feelings and emotions. Whether she is brave or foolhardy is for the reader to decide, but her ventures into the Amazon rainforest
and climbing an extremely high and difficult mountain with no previous experience really grip the reader. The only irritation is her use of 1960s hippy expressions such as 'dude', 'man', 'cool' etc. Come on Amy, you're in your thirties and emotionally mature, you don't need to write down to a particular audience.
Look forward to your next book.

A fabulously hilarious book, I was laughing out loud (and getting funny looks from people on the train!) the whole way through. As well as being highly amusing it was also a very insightful book about the importance of reflecting on the advice we are given and making our own choices. A truly inspirational book that makes you want to throw on a backpack and jump on the next plane to have your own adventure! I can't wait for the next one.

This is a great book, I would highly recommend it. It is very funny, honest, and sometimes excruciating.

There are no softening of the edges, she takes on mountains she isn't fit enough to climb, sleeps with men she really shouldn't, hangs out with some tedious hippies, it's funny. We've either all been there, or has a mate who has. It's one of those life defining journeys, that are life defining because loads of really good stuff happens and a lot of crap stuff too, all retold in hilarious detail.

By the end of the book the author is your mate, and you end up reading the section at the end featuring all the people she wants to thank because you don't want it to end.

If you are looking for a well described tale of South America, a laugh, a hero you want to root for, and a conversational unputdownable book. This is it.

Oh my days what an incredible read by breakthrough Author; Amy Baker. Amy's knack of describing things in a way that not only make you feel like you're sharing her experiences, but have you rolling around on the floor in hysterics is nothing short of world class. I can't recall a book that gives you a permanent smile that starts on page 1 and doesn't leave you until it's over. It has you begging for more. From hilarious relatable experiences with human relationships, to utterly side-splitting anecdotes of travel in the most hostile environments South America has to offer, Amy's insight on what to do with the advice that gets fed to you on stereotype is absolutely spot on. I'm so pumped to read more material from this talented author at the start of her amazing journey. A five star bossing of the highest order!

I cannot recommend reading Amy Baker's literary debut any more! The book strikes a wonderful balance between discussing life lessons with a level of gravity along with entertaining travel stories. I read the entire book while on a flight and was not able to put it down. Bring on the second book, Amy Baker!

What an amazing book! So funny and real. Amy Baker has a long future ahead of her as a writer. Possible deflating eyeballs and "The surf injury" were my particular highlights.Brilliant read!! If i could give an extra star i would :)

I literally could not put this book down. For anyone who's been travelling, this book will make you SO happy in memories of how much fun it really was (and also how many weird unsuitable people you fell in love with); and for anyone who hasn't it will give you the perfect insight into why you must go (especially with the beautifully funny ways that Amy describes the really awful bits about travelling... They all make an AMAZING story). I smiled all the way through this book, and was genuinely gutted when it finished... Fingers crossed she fancies exploring somewhere else!
