This book had me going for hours. It really is a fantastic book when you get into it and fully deserves the 5 star rating I have given it. It revolves around two twins sent to live with their aunt and uncle in the Scottish Highlands in 1941, during the Second World War. A mysterious VIP and an elusive parachutist turn up during their stay. Can they solve the mystery?

These characters are, in my opinion, well deserving of a sequel.

I enjoyed reading the adventure story 'A Message for The King' to my grandchildren, and know they will love reading this charming book themselves when they are older. Inspiration for children to get out there and find their own adventures (away from electronics !).
