Product description

Review

"Harold and his purple crayon have nothing over Ljungkvist, who takes young readers along on a journey from morning to night, from city to sea to village, through page-filling scenes composed, by and large, with one continuous line. As child-friendly as it is technically sophisticated, this will appeal to counters and crayon-wielders alike." -Kirkus Reviews, starred review

About the Author

This is lovely - just the sort of images to excite a child and not bore the adult reader - ideal for the fussy designer parent! Well designed and a calssic that will outlast fashion.

My nephew and I loved this book. He adored counting the cranes and people and buildings and tracing the line around the pages. I liked the illustrations, it was a pleasure to look at graphic art for kids.

Simply wonderful. A simple idea that is played out in fantastic detail. My son (3 1/2) loves following the line with his finger from page to page. Lovely scenarios and questions to provoke debate. Highly recommend.

An imaginative book with hidden things to spot each time you read. The text is question based, allowing you to explore the looping line and block illustrations as you search for the answers.
