From my point of view, this is a lovely book. It is smaller than the previous book, hard backed and more desk diary size than the previous A4 size book Floribunder. This book however is stunning and a real keepsake. The pictures now include birds in some instances which are true to life, not cartoon type birds and each page is a joy to behold.
This is what I call a "posh" colouring book and I couldn't recommend it more highly
It is beautifully bound in a luxury soft pink hardcover, and the paper is smooth, thick and a creamy colour. There's even a ribbon page marker. The artwork is absolutely gorgeous - some single plants in the style of botanical plates, some wreaths, some whole page designs.
There's an index at the back naming each plant featured, so you can check online for colour reference. The book is arranged month by month (with the seasonal plants), so you could even colour month-by-month too, using real live plants as reference and creating a beautiful finished book over a year.
I would use coloured pencils on this book, as I wouldn't want to risk any bleeding/buckling etc, and the subject lends itself to coloured pencils beautifully.
My only criticism is that the lines are black (thin, but black). I don't understand why black is ever used in adult colouring books. It's OK for kids, but grey should be the norm for adult colouring, especially for artwork of this calibre. However, that doesn't stop this being the loveliest colouring book I've ever seen!

This book is quite a bit smaller at about 7inches by 9 inches. It is hardback and opens flat, though some of image is lost on the double sided illustrations. It is printed on both sides of the very good quality cream paper.
The book is divided into 12 sections, each depicting one month with drawings of flowers which are blooming in that particular month. These are made even more stunning by the occasional inclusion of birds and insects etc. At the back of the book there are thumbnails of each page with the names of the flowers and birds, so colourists can do research as how to colour them realistically, if desired.
Overall, this is a lovely book and I would highly recommend it.
