5.0 out of 5 stars A PROVENSEN CHRISTMAS 17 Sept. 2013
By kip - Published on
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
This is an artistically beautiful rendering of the Christmas story from Luke chapter 2, done by the fabulous illustrators Alice and Martin Provensen. That's the reason I bought it, because it is illustrated by the Provensen's. It is a very short book, but both lettered and illustrated in a lovely way that will make you return to it again and again. I highly recommend it as a gift for children or adults.
5.0 out of 5 stars Should be re-issued 3 Feb. 2014

This is a lovely book for Christmas. The text is from the Gospel and the illustrations are beautiful. I purchased a used version since it evidently is no longer in print. A great book to start a tradition of reading with your family to remember the true meaning of the holiday.
