My ten year old grand-daughter adores mega beasts, mega buildings..mega-discoveries... This is a wonderful book....the large pop ups are AMAZING...and the smaller ones, which unfold like wee surprise packages are fabulous....lots of info for any mega-beast enthusiast of any age!
Seeing is believing....the mammoth is so jaw - droppingly wonderful you will want to buy this for every child you know...it's one to keep, to pass on to the next generation....to say yes the internet and Krindle are great....but look...feel..wonder at this...it's called a book.
Would I recommend this YES YES YES.

I had previously bought the dinosaur book in the same range and both of these books are outstanding! Lots of amazing pop ups and good written information too. My son and I love these books.

This book is, like all of the other Robert Sabuda books I own, simply beautiful. This particular one I bought for my 6 year old nephew and he loved it.

Gave it a 4 stars as one of the pop ups was slightly out of line and wouldn't open properly. Had to cut and reattach some parts which is a shame. Probably a one off as I've never had any problems with any of the others I have bought.

Love this book. The detail in it is amazing, I have never come across such a detailed structured pop-up before. It is an amazing work of art. My boys 4 and 6 love it and I have bought it for many friends as well. Certainly special and one to keep on the shelf for children and adults alike.

It is no exageration to say this book is EXCELLENT. I have bought one for all the little children who are special to me (christenings, etc) as it is truly the most fantastically crafted book. Its very deleicate so should only be given as a "for keeps" or read with mummy or daddy cos it would be a sin to have it spoiled. Every single person I have shown this to has been astonished at how fab it is, all pages have the main pop up then 2 or 3 smaller jsut as delecate pop ups. rave rave rave, sorry but I defy anyone to have anything otehr than the best to say about this.

The pop up beasts are truly wonderful. They leap out of the page. Bought this for my godson. He was enthralled by it. This is extremely clever in its execution. It is educational. Most of all, it is fun! Worth every penny.
